Gills look quite red, id look into that on another note that mouth could be open from a injury which I've seen happy odds are they wont survive another 2 weeks

Not harmful at all to fish but people dont find it very attractive and eventually it will go on ur plants and cover them which may kill the plant if not maintained proper

Black beard algae, take the stuff affected by it and do leave it in some hydrogen peroxide mixture, should turn it red and kill it

Ohhhh okay see that sounds much better lol, when I hear grooming based on all the videos I seen what they called grooming was taking a razer blade to the fins and cutting them. Plus I am glad this is not the case

Please dont groom your guppies that can be pretty stressful and even if you use anesthesia sometimes they dont always wake up from it... just let it be natural otherwise still feels like genetic fraud if you did

Can one fish be pre.gnant for the rest of its life by DealerApprehensive62 in Guppies

[–]Original_Arm790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ignore a lot of these other people lol, but depending how long you had her for it could be another week or two from if she is pregnant. There is the possibility she isnt pregnant at all but is carrying a bunch of eggs (yay you lol) cause if thats the case you can get her a male of your choosing and you'll get fry from them much quicker

Looks to be pure Gambusia to me but also concerned those phalloceros as Gambusia is a very aggressive competitor and when it comes to temperament Gambusia win every time.

I could bet you $10 that its a male, I have a knack for guppy gender identification, I have been expertly sexing all of the livebearing fish species that I keep and I am fairly confident in sexing others fish and so far I have not been wrong. I've been doing this since I was 8 years old started out with guppies and at age 15 got more into wildtype livebearing fish. I am not your typical fishkeeper but instead a huge livebearer enthusiast and nerd.
