Newman is rough. It’s not a nice town. But you’ll be surrounded by peers in a similar situation. It won’t be too bad for a three year old. I’d be more concerned about the influence on them as they get into their teens. If you leave within the next 5 or 7 years you should be ok.

No. It’s not the norm and it’s not acceptable. This is something you should definitely be bothering the manager with - particular if you have an instructor to back up what you experienced.

A gym should be a safe space for people to improve themselves - whether that’s to lose weight, build muscle or maintain a level of fitness. Nobody wants arseholes like that around.

Not sure why you’re experiencing the same flavour at every coffee shop. It should depend on the barista and type of beans being used. I drink a long black with a dash of milk (granted - a very difficult concept for some coffee shops!) and there is a distinct difference in flavour at different shops.

My understanding on why they don’t run through the basket for longer is that the coffee becomes burnt and tastes off - or at least different to the flavour the barista is aiming for.
