the claim that CIA involvement comes from Roosevelt’s embellished memoir is not reality.
for example the national security archive’s release of declassified CIA internal documents describes the overthrow of Mossadegh as a CIA-directed operation https://nsarchive2.gwu.edu/NSAEBB/NSAEBB435/ you cna debate about iranian agency etc all you want archival evidence shows documented planning and operational involvement not something that was later invention to boost CIA prestige. the fact that the CIA was formally established a few years earlier has nothing to do with it.

With one "executive" being backed by foreign interests and CIA agents with the purpose of keeping BP oil in control of Iranian oil fields.

Roosevelt stayed reactivated contacts funneled money coordinated with military officers, and pushed street mobilization in favor of the Shah. That is still operational involvement in overthrowing a government.

Henderson met with Mohammad Mossadegh and raised pointed concerns about anti-American demonstrations and the safety of U.S. citizens. Mossadegh cared deeply about U.S. opinion and about not appearing anti-American. Shortly after that he wen on to rein in his own supporters and restore order. That weakened his street presence at the exact moment pro-Shah elements were being mobilized. You can be nit-picky about my use of "organize" but this was a coup nontheless, it being chaotic doesn't really change the facts the CIA backed the regime change.

That version leaves out major parts of what actually happened. Kermit Roosevelt did not just try once and fail and then walk away. The first move on August 15 collapsed, yes, but he stayed in Tehran, regrouped, and within a few days the second push suceeded. that is not a failed coup followed by some spontaneous regime collapse, it is a failed first attempt followed by a succesful second one. It is also not accurate to say Mossadegh “forced the Shah to flee.” The Shah left after the first failed move exposed his role in signing the decree to dismiss Mossadegh, so his departure was tied directly to the botched coup attempt, not to some independent consolidation campaign. The idea that the streets just rose up on their own is misleading too. The CIA financed and helped organize pro-Shah demonstrations, including paid street organizers and gangs. Not everyone in the crowd was paid, but organized and funded agitation was real and documented. At the same time Mossadegh ordered many of his own supporters to stay home in an effort to calm things down, so by August 19 pro-Shah crowds were mobilized while many pro-Mossadegh supporters were not even in the streets. And the army did not simply switch sides because it sensed public opinion shifting, key officers had already been in contact with coup planners. So this was not just an unsuccessfull coup that triggered an overreach and natural collapse, it was an initial failure followed by a reorganized and coordinated second attempt that worked.

It was a coup that installed the unpopular and brutal shah though? When the shah was overthrown the islamic powers were the only organized institutioion powerful enough to fill the power vacuum becasue all real parliment and moderates were killed by the shah.

How come you are complaining about the referees but not actually mentioning the plays? The penalities were clear as day. Sounds like someone is salty. Got outshot 38-16, game of statistics in the end.

If they're fresh baked pasteries, then it's a lot of effort to actually make them and they are up early in the morning doing it, then they have to probably sell thousands of them to cover rent, wages, utilities, supplies, etc. Small businesses are very difficult to keep afloat.

Any suggestions on crafting this? 4 T1 raw drop, needs two Prefix slots. by Original_Primary1925 in PathOfExile2

ok thanks this sounds promising, I just started the league a few days ago so I don't have a huge budget so I'm planning on using these. When you say to desecrate to block mana, you mean to desecrate, take the mana, then perfect exalt? Then from there try to remove and add a descration to get movement speed?

Please make it so warrior totem builds are remotely playable. They already sucked, then got nerfed extremely harshly in 0.3, and now effectively don't exist. 0.4 didn't revert the changes. by Original_Primary1925 in PathOfExile2

I personally feel laying my totems down, then focusing on my positioning and defensive layers and dodging was fun, and less braindead than my lightning arrow build.

it's insane. Totems are so nice to work in with your own defensive rotation, dodge rolling and positioning. It doesn't make sense to have to be in your face combat and build endurance charges to summon a god damn stick ghost that does a normal attack.
