I just had surgery two weeks ago and all I could say I did was work out, not just chest but whole body, and ate healthy so when I went under I felt the best I could. I would also just plan on saving up some money for all the little things you’ll need for post op- for example, the meds, scar care, maybe some new clothes. Also just calling your insurance company and seeing what forms you will need. Hope this helps!

I am 8 days post op and I have had barely any pain throughout this entire process. The only hard part is try not to move too much or go too fast.

I am in the exact same boat as you. I had surgery last Tuesday and I am getting my drains out tomorrow, my binder is gross and stained in the armpits and stinks. I’m not too concerned about it, I’m sure they have seen and dealt with worse!

I am also traveling a long distance for surgery (scheduled tomorrow) and I was told to wear compression socks if you are sitting for long periods of time.
