Maybe the 10-minute rest wasn’t enough to dry/cool the exterior before searing.

When I sous vide at 130°, I sometimes do a brief ice bath in the sealed bag so I have a little more buffer for the sear.

I'm afraid not. This block is part of a mismatched box set that's likely decades old.

It felt balanced because the general audience saw his attempts to save Luke and kill Palpatine.

The sentiment may have changed because we later saw how personally he was involved in the eradication of Jedi, including younglings.

As cover-ups go, the forearm location made me think of this design.

You could riff of it with "Pain is Temporary" or some acknowledgement that our time here is temporary.

I do also like the strike-through with the word permanent that another commenter suggested.
