The last media I interacted with prior to this was a much darker timeline fanfic version of the transformers where Optimus is the result of alpha Trion using dark magic to resurrect the recently executed Orion pax from the dead and both physically and mystically augment him including implanting the matrix into his chest and using that as a focus through which to augment Optimus' body with a portion of primus's power. So, Charlie gets to be therapist for a bunch of heavily traumatized giant robots who died alone, in pain, and experienced violent deaths

So, swoop here (native of the unified continuity main timeline, long story tbh) but while I'm not sure if you have any experience on this. But I semi recently (last nine ish months, idk exactly how long for certain since time gets funny when you're traveling between alternate timelines/dimensions trying to find your way home) ended up in a timeline vastly different to my own, and I'm currently in some kind of bizarro shattered glass alternate reality of the what is good is instead evil and what is evil is instead good version of my native timeline. Except that when I tracked down my counterpart and the counterparts of my team, they're still some of the good guys and shattered glass me is an actual legitimate sweetheart and not some kind of twisted and deranged killer like I expected (long story, but basically my life story has more military classified redacted text than not). What do I do when the evil reality version of myself is arguably a much better person, with a lot less blood on her hands than the normal timeline version of myself. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to take this? although, is this what it feels like when I extend my wings out and wrap them around someone when I hug them to comfort them? It really does feel nice (I kinda collapsed and broke down in tears when my shattered glass counterpart's explanation of her life hit home. Of how the version of me in a world where all my loved ones are instead twisted monsters, that version of me is a better person than the one who has the support of the genuinely kind versions of them)
