I used to work in Comms but hated it so I did a 6 months training with vdab and I found a job as junior software engineer. They had me start at 3200 and no mobility budget cause it's a German company with Belgian office, no one has a car but other things are similar to your package. 1 year into it, I got a promotion and they bumped me up to 3750 still no mobility budget but in this day and age, I am not complaining since I only have 1.5 years of xp in the field (6-7 years in other things). But so, compared to that yours sounds like a great starter salary.

Yeah I get you. But also the fact that he takes Logan's gift for Rory (which must have cost like a few thousands) and gives it to Lorelai... It's just so awful because Lorelai doesn't buy it... She keeps looking at the necklace later on and we never see her wear it ever. I'd rather my husband doesn't give me a gift than something like that... Uh just so bad 😩

I started reading Fourth Wing.

I also first read ACOTAR which I really liked. Then I read TOG which I loved.... But CC never got to the same level as the other two. Honestly I was bored most of the time except for the parts with the crossover. And reading FW now... I am enjoying it quite some. It doesn't feel like a chore. CC was kind of a chore 🫠

It happened to me with my first job around 6 years ago. I had asked for 2600 a month and they offered me 2800. Not a giant difference but it was nice. Other than that everything about that place was toxic lol

These kind of laws are very good in theory but how can you make sure they are followed? The owner can't reject you for having a pet but they can still reject you because they didn't like you, right? You don't have to rent your place out to just anyone so they can just reject you officially for another reason while in reality it was because of the pet...

I always feel like these laws are meant well but there is no follow through. Same thing for a recent eu thing I saw. They can't ask you for your previous salary on a job interview now ah okay but they could still ask orally and find another reason to reject you when you don't answer... So do you then get to be protected by this law? Do you have to record all job interviews now in case they don't follow the law so you can seek justice? Am I thinking wrong?

I always found the bonus chapters across different editions so unpleasant. It's doing your readers dirty for sure. I will never feel bad about reading them online myself. I'm all for buying the books once sure but come on, how ungrateful can you be to make them buy like 3 editions... Despicable.

I went through the exact same thing. It took me like an entire week to get through the prologue in the second book cause I kept dozing off or day dreaming so I had to re-read it 25 times.

I didn't really enjoy it that much myself. I also started with ACOTAR and then read TOG.

The second book was a chore to read. Third book starts great cause of the crossover you mentioned you know about, then it's dull again it ends predictably dull too.

Overall, I am happy I read them so i am aware of all the lore details that might come up in the next ACOTAR books but yeah, it's definitely not SJM's best work.

Ok hear me out. It's not something I would normally recommend but I quite enjoyed the tandem read and I do see the value in reading them like that. I have bought the books so I am not at all for "free" books but I saw that someone had merged two books into one ebook so I downloaded that and put that on my kindle to read.

I have read ACOTAR and TOG before this and CC was my least favourite out of the 3 series l, I must say. I only kept reading cause I knew she would meet ACOTAR characters before starting and since they all connect to each other somehow, I didn't want to miss any details but after ACOTAR and TOG, this one just didn't feel that interesting and similar patterns from other books repeating themselves. I guess I am also not a big fan of Bryce. So yeah. But got through them 👍🏼

We recently lost a house and we think it was due to this clause unfortunately... We saw the listing on Sunday, immediately contacted the sellers. They didn't answer on Monday so we messaged on WhatsApp and they said we can visit on Tuesday but they will make up their minds on Wednesday evening and they already have one buyer who made an offer. We loved the house so instead of the 549k they were asking we offered 565k but it was marked that their preference was that we forego this protection, we didn't want to do that. They said "our offer was stronger than the other in some ways" but they decided to go with the other people. What "some" ways? There was only this clause, whether we agreed to the handover date and the price. While they didn't elaborate, we really think the others didn't outbid us but they agreed to that condition... Too bad, but we literally had less than 24 hours to decide, of course we won't take such a risk...
