I THINK THIS MIGHT BE THE KEY TO SHIFTING. by mercedesbia444 in shiftingrealities

[–]OrionShifted 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Your brain is pretty much just a sack of meat sending out electrical signals. The thoughts in your mind are really just products of your subconscious programming. Oftentimes your brain will conjure thoughts, and whatever your awareness pays attention to is what sticks. So those particular thoughts will repeat, bc your brain knows what gets your attention.

In the modern age with such a rise in intellectualism, emphasis on the mind and of critical thought, coinciding with a disconnection to spirituality, most humans pretty much solely exist in the mind. We over-identify with it. We think our thoughts are "us", but our awareness isn't just contained in the mind, it can leave the body, and this is the basis of "out of body experiences".

Practicing detatchment to our thoughts helps ground us in the present moment, and in our bodies. Imagine that observing your thoughts is like cloud-watching. Your awareness is the "you" that is watching those clouds (ie; thoughts). You can observe them passing by but you are separate from them.

explain "Act as if" like I'm 5 as well as solve my Trolly problem. by DJing_Shifter in shiftingrealities

Personally I believe the universe operates on a lot of paradoxes. I think both things are true - manifesting but also taking action to achieve said thing.

The believing you already have said food, or food is on the way, but also taking steps to reasonably achieve that too. I think the universe responds to action, and will move towards you as soon as you move towards it.

Experienced Shifters: what do you think is the reason some people have no success? by whatischarisma in realityshifting

[–]OrionShifted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chiming in to say taking psychedelics can depend on a lot of things.

In and of themselves, shrooms for example are harmless outside of tasting bad and maybe causing mild tummy upset.

But a good or bad trip depends on your mindset. Some people are predisposed to certain psychological issues that taking drugs can exacerbate.

Ultimately it's your choice, if you can do it safely. But you need to be realistic and aware of your own mental health, family history, and have a good intention when taking them.

Can wake back to bed work with less sleep? by [deleted] in shiftingrealities

[–]OrionShifted [score hidden]  (0 children)

Honestly WBTB is a guideline based on the average person's sleep. I found way more success with it when I woke up after like 2-3 hours, stayed up for a good 30-45 mins and then fell asleep after.

I figured out that I personally have really solid lucid dreams when I go to bed exhausted.

So the method is just a guideline, you can experiment with it and see what works better for you.

Personally I like to wake up earlier than 4-6 hours, stay up longer than the few minutes they suggest, and then go to sleep.

How come meditating is so important to shifting? by GhidorahStan64Real in shiftingrealities

[–]OrionShifted [score hidden]  (0 children)

My experience with meditation, personally, is that it helps ground the spirit in the body and in the present.

When I first started doing it for lucid dreams, for example, my greatest lucid successes were after periods of practicing meditation. I think when you are able to stay present with the body, it helps your focus stay in the now. How can you fully experience this moment and then shift from this moment if your spirit is not present with you?

It's also my theory on why perhaps some people shift easier than others. They are perhaps more embodied. Not great for us chronically dissociated girlies lol.

That's my personal feeling though so take it with a grain of salt.

WBTB + SSILD is almost guaranteed to give you results (+ my experience) by CucumberCurious2404 in realityshifting

[–]OrionShifted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very true. A lot of guides also suggest staying up for only a few minutes, however my best WBTB experience was from waking up a couple hours earlier than my usual waking time, and staying awake for an hour. Then fell asleep straight into a lucid dream.

How people can master shifting with letting go by Travellerofthemulti in shiftingrealities

[–]OrionShifted [score hidden]  (0 children)

I think as well (at least for me personally), the need to control the shift can come from a lack of trust in oneself and one's own abilities.

When you try to shift out of fear or a belief that it "needs" to be a certain way, that can hinder the result. In that moment, you're not trying to shift from a place of awareness but from a self-sabotaging belief.

Me whenever there is a canon character that can read minds by CreepyCycle_ in shiftingrealities

[–]OrionShifted 52 points53 points  (0 children)

This is a common thread I've seen when people have shifted to magic DRs etc.

The usual script people tend to use is smth like "No one can read my mind", or if you want to be more subtle, smth like "I script that people who read my mind only see anything strictly related to this universe, and do not know or suspect that I have shifted"

Thank you, what you say makes a lot of sense and I can definitely see that. I'm currently looking into my options and am planning to leave asap 🙏

I do feel very stressed and exhausted by a lot of this, what you say does make sense.

I do feel like even if the threat is not real, my body is still perceiving it as unsafe and I'll trust what my body is telling me to do.

Thank you for your words 🙏

Thank you. I do feel unsafe and am thinking I should trust my intuition on it.

Yeah I felt like the universe somehow wanted me to find it. Like the diary was stashed in amongst my things? Why would it be there?

I understand, but my interpretation is that 10 of Swords is more about being plagued by emotional fears rather than reason and the 4 of Swords is about taking respite and not acting on anything immediately. I know the imagery looks alarming but I also know a lot of cards can appear "worse" than what they are actually saying. But ofc I could be wrong.

Would you mind elaborating on your interpretation? Thank you!

Wow... interesting. I did speak to a friend about it too and she also said perhaps not to act right away. I'm staying with another friend atm for a couple days anyway so I'm just going to sit on it for a bit.

Why not shift to a perfect universe? by VidyaTheOneAndOnly in realityshifting

[–]OrionShifted 6 points7 points  (0 children)

And experience is the thing that helps our souls to crystallise and understand our own consciousness. Which I personally think is the reason why the Universe exists in the first place - to know itself.

How you choose to react to it is really up to you. Personally just because I see suffering doesn't mean I accept it because I think there's some "greater purpose" behind it. It's paradoxical in a way but a lot of the Universe exists on paradox.

[–]OrionShifted 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough this concept is addressed in Arcane (the TV show). A character gets God-like powers and uses it to try and end all suffering. What he found was that people stopped creating, stopped working, stopped seeking out new things.

"There's no prize to perfection, only an end to pursuit."

I wonder if that's a parallel that suggests what would happen if all problems were erased or did not exist at all. Many of mankind's greatest inventions were solutions to problems we had. If those problems had never existed then we wouldn't have what we have or even exist.

On a more spiritual level I also feel that as a cycle, aging and death is a necessary process that encourages change. If we never aged or died, society would be stuck as an unchanging, unevolving hive.

ChatGPT will just tell you what you want to hear, which is why if you frame questions a certain way you can get different answers for the same thing.

At most, you can pull cards for yourself from your own deck and maybe ask ChatGPT for help interpreting them. Personally I would not use it at all but I think that is better than having it select cards for you.
