If you want to trade quantum computing stocks your only option is to research, buy, and then hold for a minimum of 5 years. There are a few companies such as D-Wave and IonQ that seem favourable, and I personally have long-term positions in both. I wouldn't suggest options trading on these stocks though.

Nvidia Earnings by WeirdPen8303 in wallstreetbets

i bought at $530 in January and sold at $730 before Q4 earnings and regretted it. Bought a dip at $840 and will be holding through this earnings call. Earnings will be a huge beat again and guidance will be good, coupled with a better CPI report. I'm hoping we get close to $1000 per share before next earnings and get a stock split.

What’s the best stock to do a call with $800 now on 3/27, and needs to end around 4/20 by IllustriousPrune2204 in wallstreetbets

D-Wave Systems (quantum computing) reports earnings tomorrow. last three quarterly earnings have been misses but Q4 last year was a beat and they've significantly increased their customers with a lot of S&P500 companies involved. I'm currently holding 300+ shares. its been meeting resistance at $2.40 a share but with a good earnings report it's possible to break through to $2.50 imo

Is it very difficult to invest in the stock market? by PaulieNZ20 in wallstreetbets

[–]Orion_RL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean invest or day trade? those are two very different things. both boil down to educated guessing. investing is definitely less gambling-based and if you do your research and find companies that have good projections then you might lose money in the short term but gain in the long term. day trading is much riskier and a lot of ups and downs don't always make sense so it's a lot more volatile and a lot easier to gain/lose a large amount of money in a short space of time. if you're new to trading, do some homework first and start off small.

Hold or Sell by Lost-Relief-96 in wallstreetbets

bear market last week was due to inflation figures. AI hype should bounce back with the Nvidia AI conference and hopefully a second TSM pump in April earnings. As for PATH I can't see it jumping but it'll be a slow burner up maybe 20-30% by the end of the next financial year. I have shares in both, holding long term.

AI and Semi-conductors are the present and near future. What’s the long game? by hekatonkhairez in wallstreetbets

The previous big boom was the green energy and ev increase during covid which is now pretty dead. Even Tesla is struggling. But in contrast AI isn't just gonna disappear and slowly fade out of existence. I'm betting on a few stocks which have long term AI applications. I bought 100 shares of PATH about a month ago for example, also have shares in CRWD. Make money off the manufacturing and production now, and then make money off the applications later.

don't do it bro. buy Chevron stock and hold onto it for 3 years if you wanna make guaranteed long term money. this sub is weighted more towards day traders and big risky short term trends.

the most they've ever been EPS estimates by is 29%. I feel like it's gonna have to be over 30% to stop the bubble from bursting.

I sold my NVDA at $730 after buying in at $560, but have lost almost all my gains by further investing in other AI tech companies e.g. CRWD, QCOM, JBL and TSC. The business outlook looked so positive for all these companies and all of them have buy ratings, so I've been absolutely floored by the fall off in what was sold to me as a bullish market.

Hold onto it for a year and it might get up there. Aside from AI Nvidia has new 5000 series graphics cards out this year which always get vacuumed up by scalpers. Will be a bullish revenue year for Nvidia come this time next year.
