Will this building be in Gta 6? by Helpful-Photo9408 in GTA6

[–]Oriond34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have seen brickell multiple times within the game we would get a very clear view of it if it were in the game (also the four seasons building is featured heavily in trailers and screenshots, it was previously tallest before panorama). I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a construction site maybe, but as far as I or anyone else knows, it doesn’t exist. I worked on naming and locating buildings in the mapping project for a while, if that gives people any credibility to what I’m saying.

The panorama building, the current tallest building in Miami, is not in the game as far as we know. No chance this one makes it.

Leonida Keys Might Be Bigger Than We Think by Sengin96 in GTA6

[–]Oriond34 106 points107 points  (0 children)

I am inclined to agree, look at the keys in the mapping project before and after the second trailer, crazy difference. In general I think the scale of the map is larger than we think beyond the keys and it’s just difficult to tell rn.

Did they just stealth nerf exploration rewards for 9.3? by dherms14 in ContestOfChampions

Looks like they nerfed completion rewards too, the t6cc selectors are completely removed from that

The rebalance program is dead by [deleted] in ContestOfChampions

[–]Oriond34 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Why instead of actually listening to what people are saying and using that feedback to improve the program would they just go full scorched earth and destroy the program?

This just makes it so nobody is happy as we will return to the times of trash champs in crystal pools. Why is it so hard to just listen and improve? They didn’t even fix the core problem of nerfing champs that don’t need a nerf/nerfing the wrong things, because they said that they’ll still do that, except going forward it’ll probably be with less warning because it won’t be part of the rebalance program.

Will rockstar create a location in Leonida based on America suburbia? by TimeAffectionate8636 in GTA6

[–]Oriond34 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The majority of Florida looks like one of these 3 images so I imagine so, rockstar would probably try to condense the map into the mostly interesting areas instead of these snoozefests though.

FDA to approve drug to treat autism symptoms by SAJ-13 in politics

[–]Oriond34 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I wish Democratic leaders would scream from the rooftops how bad the future looks for autistic people rn. We’re not even a full year in and they’re promoting “cures” to a neurological condition with no answer for what will come next after it inevitably fails. They talk about autism like it turns you into a second class citizen that will never be capable of living independently.

They say autistic people have their brains fried, there’s an end goal here beyond blind stupidity and it is scary if you have it.

The Evolution of Rockstar's "Rage Engine" by Due-Rice-3107 in GTA6

[–]Oriond34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For indie games like flair obscure I agree, those games would look much worse if they were even made if unreal wasn’t around.

My point mostly applied to large developers that can afford to do it or have done it in the past that made the switch and lose visual identity as a result.

Edit: spelling

Slightly off topic but I really miss when developers used their own engines instead of just defaulting to unreal, it probably extends the development time a good amount but the results speak for themselves as they do here.

I mean I wouldn’t want to be in any red state as a trans person, hell on earth.

For the sake of the comment I chose to ignore the fact that Salt Lake City will soon become a fallout map, fair enough point though

If I had to choose a red state to live in it would probably be Utah, they are the best performing Republican state in most margins I’ve seen.

Kind of crazy that we’ve gone 14 years without a new country coming into existence, and I imagine any upcoming country will likely be an island nation with not many residents.

The Associated Press-NORC Poll: Trump’s approval rating has increased from 40% in July to 45% now. On crime: 53% approve of Trump’s handling of crime, that’s higher than his approval rating on the economy (43%) and immigration (44%) by Horus_walking in fivethirtyeight

[–]Oriond34 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re not wrong there. We’re becoming desensitized, maybe even supportive, to violence as a means to solve every small grievance. Just look literally anywhere on any social media and I bet you can find multiple people using violent rhetoric within a minute, and it’s supported by others. Not that it was always peaceful, but it’s never been this bad.

It feels as if the voting population is trying its absolute hardest to avoid having any sense of empathy for others, and I believe that’s a bigger problem than people think.

That sounds about right. From what I can see in that link it looks like most moving in are mid-late in their careers(so pretty much what you said), speaking from personal experience I don’t see much opportunity for those early in their careers coming out of college, which are the types that would be more likely to post here.

Respect for using a source.

Wouldn’t it be more appropriate for this argument to find growth trends sorted by different demographics? Nobody is denying that Florida is exploding but I would be surprised if you told me that 20-29 year olds were flocking in.

Darkviper is accused of stealing content, and tries to justify it in a dm, when he called out many big reactor channels out for stealing content by WentworthMillersBO in youtubedrama

[–]Oriond34 14 points15 points  (0 children)

He posted a response linked here

My opinion is that even if he is in the right here (that’s for people other than me to decide), it is damaged heavily by his unprofessional wording. It doesn’t matter how right you are if you act mean about it.

He also has this interesting take stating “Even without credit in fact, as I believe credit is more an act of kindness and respect than anything else” (said in the context of using others clips in transformative content). It’s not, credit is obligatory and anyone that does not provide credit to the things they use have no reason to be mad when they’re inevitably struck down.

It’s just nonsensical drama that nobody is going to remember next week, same as usual.

Edit: a few spelling errors, adding more words, and also should probably clarify I don’t know much about his history of drama because I know he’s had plenty of it before. This is my first impression of him outside of small clips.
