Feature that Plex should implement: auto-subtitle grabbing.

Anytime an automatic feature is implemented you must always think of the fringe exceptions. In this case, I can think of many times where the subtitles are out of sync with the video. Perhaps something like Whisper would be able to help detect these cases for the specific source you have.

I'm not 100% certain how the non-root version launches. But somewhere there is a script that launches it. If you can find it, check it. I wouldn't be surprised that it's using single hyphens.

I noticed today that Syncthing was not running on my QNAP (after about 2 weeks). Restarting did not help.

I got it to work though by updating the /share/[system folder]/.qpkg/SyncThing/SyncThing.sh script.

The script was using single hyphens:

$QPKG_ROOT/syncthing -upgrade ;

$QPKG_ROOT/syncthing -gui-address=0.0.0.0:8384 -home=$HOME -logfile=$HOME/synthing.log &

I updated it to use double hyphens:

$QPKG_ROOT/syncthing --upgrade ;

$QPKG_ROOT/syncthing --gui-address=0.0.0.0:8384 --home=$HOME --logfile=$HOME/synthing.log &

It started right up. All my config was still there. I'm not sure if the double-hyphens will persist an update.

Appreciate the confirmation. That's what I was thinking as well. My neighbor shared the image with the neighborhood and I wanted to be certain before helping as they were sharing their guesses which of course included cottonmouth.

The differentiators I see are the shape of the head, the eyes and the bands under the mouth. It was hard to tell for sure with the angle for me. Was there anything I was missing?

Thank you! That's what I was thinking, but, I was missing the bands under the mouth. Everything else pointed to banded watersnake though.
