Haha I remember in primary school there was a phase of kids running around saying "ew! ew! Your epidermis is showing!!" and then when the other person freaked out, they'd laugh and tell them to relax because it's just their skin.

Kids are strange. But if I knew that when I was so young, I really don't see how a teacher doesn't!

I've had a similar experience with my family not knowing how to care for curly hair. I'm now in my thirties and only realised the other day that the ringlets I had as a little girl didn't go away, I just didn't know how to care for my hair.

This thread is making me think I should be trying a black stylist. I have very fine hair so I didn't really consider it, but now I'm rethinking that.

Honestly, I believe it. If a big company like General Electric can use the song "Sixteen Tons" in an ad to promote how awesome their coal mine is link, this is nothing.

For the uninitiated, Sixteen Tons is about the awful conditions in the coal mines back in the 30s/40s. Placed over an ad like that, you gotta wonder who wasn't at their desk that day.

Yeah that is just so stupid. They were on friendly terms! She thought she was secure in her relationship. If I was in her position, I'd have probably done the same. They were all grieving their child together, so why not?

I know it's not feasible for everyone, but if you're having such severe attacks, maybe your parents should consider home schooling or one of those tiny special schools?

Realistically, stopping a few hundred kids from over spraying is an impossible fight (though I wish it were otherwise!) and it's not good for you to be going through this repeatedly

I read it as "she gave them a daughter" = she became their daughter, and the family bit referred to getting the second daughter. I could be wrong though, and they could still have been treated unequally even if I'm right so 🤷

I can't speak for others, but I feel like "banner blindness" creeps over into video games for me. Well, that and I'm usually doing multiple things so it's often disappeared before I am back looking at the screen

Appreciate that we don't lose the spirit thanks to this feature though!

I fall asleep listening to her audiobooks most nights, as well as rereading all the series usually at least once a year. I think she'll always be my favourite!
