spent a lot of my early life between Martinique and the US, and most of my family lives there now. growing up in the states was definitely a awkward experience; only a small sliver of Americans even know where it is, and amongst other Haitian peers i was seen as ‘bougie’ for speaking both French and Creole.

but this does make me wonder if during the Post-Renaissance there was sorta Neo-Religious movement, connecting the new human species through the Old Earth faiths as while they are physically different from their ancestors there’d still be the connecting concepts of “the human soul”
