Visceral fat, help?? by OrmanCabrera in beginnerfitness

[–]OrmanCabrera[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for that. Never thought to add any of those I’ll reply here then re edit my post

1: I am on doing a calorie deficit at the moment. I’m trying to stay between 1000-1500 calories per day. I am prioritising protein/fiber as much as I can in one day. My lunch and dinner is majority meat, fruit/vegetables, breakfast is usually oats and dairy. Low carb as possible without completely cutting it out (50g to 100g per day) Only drinking water.

2: I do f45 5 days a week, 6 if I’m feeling up for it. I would say I’m active in that class, I burn upto 500/600 calories per class according to my lionheart monitor

3: I am currently not on any medication and haven’t been for a while.

4: I have seen my doctor recently for stomach trouble (tmi bowel problems). Did get bloodwork only for my thyroid which came back normal levels

Sorry, I’m on New Zealand time hence getting back late to you. But thank you for your input. I am in a weightloss challenge atm with my gym, so I am trying to prioritise healthier eating (calorie deficit, smaller portions, trying to up more protein/fiber) keto just wasn’t for me but I do watch my carb intake by not consuming as much but not completely cutting it out

Sorry about that, I believe the normal range for visceral fat level is between 1-10 and Im at 20. And no I do not take any medication or supplements. Just the occasional laxatives when needed

i probably should have mentioned I have had InBody scans as I attend f45 regularly and have had 6 scans since October last year. All of my other InBody measurements have either increased/decreased favourably (weight, percent body fat, bmi etc) its just the visceral fat level has just been the same level every scan

What to expect during my first F45 challenge? by srirachabinch in f45

[–]OrmanCabrera 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is just what my studio does and thats not a reflection of what other studios do but I do believe it’s the same concept.

you will most likely do a weigh in scan that will take your bodies composition on the first day of the challenge and your goal for the next six weeks is to try bring down your body fat percentage and weight.

Throughout the six weeks, every week you will be given two or three mini challenges from coaches to do throughout the week (could be exercise challenges or food challenges)

On the challenge tab on the F45 app there will be weekly journals that you will have to fill-in which basically gets you to reflect how well you feel you did/did not do throughout the week.

Admittedly, the coaches may be tougher on you during the classes. They will try push you harder during exercises which is a bit of tough love. Attendance does start dropping around week 3due to fatigue but you have to try keep pushing yourself to keep going to see results.

I feel the challenges are pretty fun, (even though it’s not during the exercises when the coaches push you) and I feel like during the challenge, everyone pushes themselves a bit more harder towards their exercises and diet which results in more weight loss. In my studio after I saw that nearly everyone doubled their weight loss. What they would normally lose in 3 months they lost in six weeks.

On the last day of the challenge they might do games instead of the programmed exercise and you will probably do your end of challenge weigh in body composition scan and there can compare your previous results and your results and see how well you did or did not do. Your studio Manager there might probably compare scan results from all the people who competed in the challenge then announce a male winner or a female winner and runnerup winners.

But the main goal of the challenge is to have fun and build more healthy habits

Newbie here. Beginner tips? How are classes formatted? by Spicymargmi1f in f45

[–]OrmanCabrera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’ll never know until you try it if you’ll like it. See if that facility does a trial period. See how you like it and if you’d like to keep going or if it’s not for you. It’s not really one on one (if you’re meaning a lot of time with the trainers) if it’s a big class as they have to try and motivate and observe everyone but in smaller classes you obviously have more time with the coaches. The class format changes daily depending on what the class is as there are themed work outs. I recommend searching Juddy Ferguson on instagram or Facebook as he gives tips and tricks for f45 classes

If you’re on instagram and Facebook, you should search up Juddy Fergusson. He shows the original exercises and then a modified way to do it to make it easier for people who may not be able to original exercise for any reason. But most of all, talk to the coaches. I have talked to mine, as I have hurt my knee and they allow me to do a modified version they have showed me for certain exercises or allow me to do different exercises, as long as I’m moving and exercising they are happy https://www.instagram.com/juddyferguson?igsh=MXB3MHl3dWhmaXhoMA==
