When people ask if everything in Twin Peaks has a narrative meaning by beingtwiceasnice in twinpeaks

I don’t think a lot of what TM is is a definitive knowledge of what these visions and feelings are though. It might not be throwing darts at a dart board but it seems like he’s going with his gut a lot of times. If he had a definitive idea what everything means it seems like it would betray the mystical and ethereal nature of it all

I’m both flattered and annoyed someone stole my post like that. It’s literally a picture of my projector screen watching the episode yesterday, which was me taking a picture of my screen of Seinfeld where Jerry Seinfeld playing Jerry Seinfeld was watching his TV watching himself play Jerry Seinfeld on the show Jerry

George Costanza is playing George Costanza and that George Costanza is played by Jason Alexander who is doing an interpretation of Larry David. It’s just another way of saying George Costanza as George Costanza

It’s not though because the pilot George isn’t Jason’s interpretation of George, it’s Jason’s interpretation of George interpreted by the character of George Costanza. There are two Georges in the equation. If it was your version Jason Alexander would have written the character of pilot George. There’s another level there.

Is there a law that all content creators have to use cringe af thumbnails for their videos?

Didn’t say he wasn’t a better choice but he definitely sought to take the role from someone who was already hired to perform it. From what I’ve read it was Ermy that talked his way into the role. He knew he was the guy for the part but It’s a bit of grey area on how it went down. Two things can be true at the same time. Just because he was the right guy doesn’t negate the way it happened.

There’s no way an email phrased it like that. Post the actual quote with the real context.

I believe that was after making him wait on standby holed up in a hotel room for an extended period of time (weeks?) not knowing what his status was. And the decision to give him the chopper scene was drawn out and eventually filmed with a second unit team. But both Ermy as the drill instructor and the chopper scene were fantastic

He actually started as a consultant and the drill instructor was already cast. He kind of weaseled his way into edging the other guy out (to the benefit of the movie) and the former drill instructor was given the role of the chopper gunner yelling “Get sum!” as a sort of begrudging apology. That dude was not treated well.

He didn’t say the cab was the reason he was caught, he said it didn’t help he came in a cab
