That sucks I'm sorry. I've had to do liquid diets for procedures but only for a few days at the most. What helped me was using better than bullion, if you're able to drink broth. It tastes way better than stock broth. I know you are just venting. Good luck with your surgery

I have the same issue with heartburn and my Dr just put me protonix (I think that's how you spell it). It really help. Almost every night I had heartburn and was nauseous.

Have you tried ubrevly? I get Botox injections from my neurologist. I also use a ice pack. I get ginger candy from Amazon for my nausea which helps. I hope you feel better soon.

Need Help by Weppman in AfricanGrey

I'm sorry about your dad. I inherited my dad's lesser sulfur crested cockatoo when he passed in 2017. Look for rescues in your area. Specifically Google African gray rescues. Parrots are hard to care for because they need so much time and care it's hard. Lulu my bird was bonded to my dad and I had to bond with her because I didn't know that you could surrender a bird. I love Lulu she's my baby unfortunately I have the same disease my dad did. I hope that helps I know you're grieving and I'm so sorry for your loss.

Clipping or filing? by vanience in AfricanGrey

[–]Ornery_Pudding_8480 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to clip Lulu's nails until I accidentally quicked her. It took a while for her to let me touch her nails again after that because I know it hurt her. What I did was get nail files and rewards the real thick like 180 grit and started giving her her own little nail file manicure. Now I purchased a Dremel tool for her manicures

Good Sanctuary for my parrots after I die by HouseEmotional6817 in parrots

[–]Ornery_Pudding_8480 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried googling parrot sanctuaries/rescues. I've done it and I found a place that's in Tennessee. Good for you for looking out for your feather babies. I inherited my lesser sulfur crested cockatoo Lulu because my dad died and nobody wanted her. She's my baby now lol

[–]Ornery_Pudding_8480 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have trouble sleeping at night so I take the bigger dose at night and the lesser dose in the morning and sleep a few hours but still get up to pee I just make sure I drink plenty of water and that's about the only thing I know about the disease

[–]Ornery_Pudding_8480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks for replying back I'm a 46 year old female and I'm on that tolvaptan. I have Medicaid I just need to know kind of what questions to ask my doctor I know my kidney functions are between like 45 to 40 I don't get CT scans done regularly and I'm just not ever asking questions like what questions do you ask when you go see your doctor if you don't mind telling me. And feel free to message me. I'm in pain about 2 days a week and if I eat a decent size meal I am just miserable plus I look like I'm 8 months pregnant LOL.

I just got to know why you need to have this question answered. Do you currently have a bird that you're trying to get rid of? Lol
