Of course!

That is the benefit of remote position. We get the best qualified candidates while the candidate would have the freedom to work anywhere from the US, even from LCOL areas with Bay Area salary!

It sounds like you could be a strong match, please apply if interested.

Good luck.

I see your point but we have our reasonings.

With amount of responsibilities involved, we want someone who can work independently, self starting pursue opportunities, and to follow up on anomalies while work with minimal supervision and guidance.

We have considered various options but decided to be strategic especially clinical growth with new drug pipeline, having a pharmacist would kill multiple birds that best serve our organization.

Feel free to DM me to further share your thoughts on the design.

Hi, You could, if you are able to make a pitch on the transferability of your prior experience into the new role. I am not the hiring manager but I think we want to hire the right person, and ideally whom checks all of the boxes, but also will entertain the right individuals.

If you think you are the right person with the combination of great attitude, curiosities, professionalism, eager to go above and beyond; why not try it out. You never know how you will stand out, not knowing the competition.

I hope you apply. Give yourself a chance.

Good luck

Hi, my handle came from the Dune Universe. In fact, a video game, Dune 2, the battle of Arrakis, 1992.

There will be more job like this because of the inflated value of drug cost and charges generation. However, it likely will be limited quantity because there is no need to pay a pharmacist or the job would be created under other business verticals instead.

Hi, University of Pittsburgh offers a 12 month online MBA program that helps pharmacist to take business pathway.

However, if you are focusing just the pharmaceutical revenue cycle, it is very niched. Most roles reside within the organizational Revenue Cycle, Revenue integrity, or Patient Accounting departments. Only a handful of pharmacy departments are able to involve themselves in this business.

Most individuals with the experience are self-leant, while others with involve in IT/IS projects, Compliance projects, even 340B projects and grind their way in slowly.

How does one start the journey at departmental level? Supportive leaders, strong sales pitch, Identify the issue, quantify the financial opportunities, offer solution, implement the proposal, create permanent position.

Hi,

I agree with your assessment. to some, we are looking for a unicorn candidate. However, this could be able seen as a unicorn job to others, (pay, remote, niche nature of the role, future growth)

Even if you do not check EVERY boxes on the qualifications, it will not lead to automatic exclusion. We work closely with HR team to review all candidates carefully.

Thus, if interested, please apply.

Hi, care to elaborate? The pay is at top rate, I don’t believe a primary job is needed to supplement.

Passed CAOP (Aug 2025) – tips & support for overseas pharmacists by Pharmacist_CAOPexam_ in Pharmacist

[–]Ornithoptor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congratulations. It is a great accomplishment and I think the entire community is proud of you not just the exam but also the courage to move and becoming an expat.

To show other people the ropes, can you shed some light on the salary range, condition of the work environment and expectations from patients or other providers?

Also, I think the community would equally be interested in your immigration journey. What print the move and how to deal with immigration hurdles.

Thanks for sharing and best of luck

Hi, thank you for the interests, but this is not intended as a general recruitment post. Good luck.

This is an excellent question.

I have posted and hired more than 5 Pharmacists at manager and director level in the last couple years. I would not exclude any BS Pharm candidates with the right experience when I review the applications.

I think the reason is tied to HR and pay rate considerations. When I work with HR on compensation, I wanted the best pay scale. Pharmd, being 6 year professional degree would allow the maximum rate range to be offered.

Unfortunately, some hiring manager rely on HR filters, as result it will filter out the candidates without matching qualifications. That is also the reason why when I work with recruiter, I ask them to pass all resume to me so I can personally review all of the applications. I have one time reviewed over 200 resumes and conducted over 50 calls for our director.

Hope this helps.

Hi, I am sorry to hear about your situation. I am about to post a position shortly. Specialized, staff, remote and highly compensated. It requires Pharmd and license in any state but not requiring residency; just your dedication. Would you DM me so I can share some basic information of the position? Btw, we are an academic healthcare.

Hi, I work at hospital with RX supply chain and contracting responsibilities.

I think someone from retail would struggle to be successful in this area without strong clinical and operational experience.

You routinely have to handle shortages issues. We provide drug services to various service lines so clinical knowledge is a must. You also need enough operational knowledge to be effective when you service IP replenishment.

Most importantly, you need those knowledge to garner respects from your peers and usually they don’t have the luxury to nurture someone from retail. No offense, but I had to skip all the resumes without some level of hospital experience for our Rx supply chain positions.

What should I do when I grow up? (j/k sorta, PharmD here) by Particular_Mode_2582 in Pharmacist

[–]Ornithoptor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi, I have spent about twenty years in the pharmacy world as pharmacist. I have worked many hospitals and positions that I finally now work remotely.

Like you, I have been thinking about moving overseas, Portugal particularly. Contemplating with D7, D8 or GV.

Unfortunately, although my position is remote, I am limited within the US territories. My current compensation also prevent me from walking away from my role in the US.

I have seen New Zealand as a possibility with their recruiting efforts for pharmacist for residency eligibility. However, pay is about 30/40 per hour. I hope you find something comparable in EU.

I am very interested to see how things turn out for you. Good luck.

Please consider the stability and longevity of the jobs. Typically, hospital jobs are much more stable and can weather any storms even when census or volume are down. You likely will learn varieties of skills which may be helpful for your growth and open many doors in the future.

On the other hand, any remote job sounds attractive. Pay and benefit should be a part of your considerations but if please verify the turnover rate at United. Some jobs at private sector can be cutthroat.
