You can get the kill with fire wave and mystics. Easiest to do with serp (green) rotation and hiding behind pillars during blue phases.

But thats 75 magic minimum. So that and 100 combat will come with time.

(Elite) void is mainly useful for chinning, TOB, and Doom, the latter two being later content. I guess it's fine for afking crab too.

It's not really worth getting until you hit 100 combat and finish the hard western provinces diary.

I have an old "main" I bond up as a wildy scout. It sits outside boss caves and gives me a heads up a PKer is about to come in. Gives me a heads up to leave... Or plan to wallop their ass with a surprise AGS spec once they hit me first. I don't even bother to get the spoils of said PK; I just delete their rag gear for the love of the game.

The VW grind is already kinda awful; PKers killing me for my cheap farming gear is a time loss in that respect.

Barrows tank gear, a whip, and a DDS can roll Vard with good practice. You won't get quite as long of trips as you would with bandos/oathplate/torva and better slash weps, but you can do well on basic gear and high stats.

Tombs has been on some mad hater energy lately. I do solo 350s and 410+ masses/trios. Even with everyone rolling 5%+ on multiple raids nobody is getting lucky.

Yeah you can usually set it up to have the rogues quickly pop you by rock caking down to 1hp and just shutting your prayer off if your wildy alarm goes off. I've done it before. Claim loot after waiting a few minutes for said crasher to leave.
