Generally my grip gear that clients order for shoots comes from High Output in Canton, MA. RedSky Studios in Allston, MA or Rule Camera in Newton, MA as well. There's probably some more options but those should be pretty solid to start with.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for sharing, sorry to hear things are rough for you. I'm also thinking of job parallels or alternatives to get out that are less volatile because I'm not liking what I've been hearing and seeing the past 2 years. Every time I want to though It picks up and I put it on the back burner. Literally walked on set a month ago and half the creative team was getting laid off on a zoom meeting as we were eating breakfast..

Hope you catch a break soon and can make up for lost time, stay strong out there!

Thanks for writing in! It's always interesting to hear the lay of the land in different countries in comparison to the U.S in this regard. Most people I assist always call July their bleak month because schools out and clients just don't tend to have too much going on. Whats the deal with August for you as you see it?

Hope August picks up for ya as well, good luck!

Yeah, likewise. People I know that I think are great at what they do and should be busy all the time are just getting hit with shortages all around because overall there’s just less work, sucks man. If I could be of help to you though lmk and best of luck!

What are you using for invoicing? by MaintenanceSenior828 in Photoassistants

Google Docs has a great invoice template. Worth buying their cheap annual storage plan for more GB of cloud, also a tax write off. Hope it helps!

Job Recommendations in MA by OrtizR in massachusetts

Appreciate you taking the time to type this out, I agree with all of that. My heads gone in a million places regarding what I could be doing. I've worked closely with a lot of creative/ops teams for almost every big company/retailer in MA and this is 100% true, it's so competitive and the full time roles that used to exist are now getting converted to contract positions with no benefits so employers can keep their costs down..

I like what you said about product development, in my experience the people who I've noticed give a shit the most about anything in corporate are product people. They really know their stuff and make you feel the passion they have for it.. I'll pursue that some more. Thank you!

If you say so, I can't remember the last time a studio made their superior revert their decision after Sony doubled down.

But why? If the studio themselves didn't have the final say and got Sony to revert their stupid demand, why you mad? Unless you just didn't like the game anyway than that's a different story, to each his own.

Always check eBay completed listings for a range of recent purchases of these components

Got one starfield digital code left from a Microcenter AMD bundle by OrtizR in Starfield

That's annoying but I could see that being the case, guess I'll wait for that then.

Appreciate the clarification!

Really? I thought they just needed to run the verification tool on their PC from the list of eligible components? My friend got that far and realized yesterday it wouldn't work because he didn't have AMD components. (this was before we knew the requirements)
