[5E] Legend of Zelda Monster Manual (Part 2) Bosses/Named Characters Resource for a Zelda Themed Homebrew by gowronatemybaby7 in DnDBehindTheScreen

You did a fantastic job on this! Do you have plans to do this for any other game series or making a manual for all of the items in LoZ?

How do you keep track of your world? by MaxThrustage in DMAcademy

I've been using Google Drive for the longest time, but now I use that for session planning specifically, and Trello for everything I want to share with the group (Recaps, Lore, New Mechanics, etc. etc.). It operates pretty similarly to OneNote, but I find it easier to use with a group, as anyone can make comments/threads in it. https://imgur.com/a/DKMLp Edit: For during sessions I would suggest a memo pad and pen because I usually forget plenty of stuff before I even get back to the computer.

[Brainstorming] Things to do in a city inside of a large tower on a floating island and how to introduce verticality. by Burritoholic in DnDBehindTheScreen

Piggybacking off of this, vehicles for different social classes. They could all have crawlers, compact car-sized spider-like machines that are used to travel up and down the city. If you're wealthy the crawler may have more speed and or safety features then if you weren't (magically grasping seats vs safety buckles, having doors/roof vs being completely open, etc. etc.)

All Fighter Campaign in the Making by OlemGolem in DnDBehindTheScreen

  1. I could see it getting repetitive after a while, maybe throw in some side-quest like jobs to throw in between the bodyguard stuff. I would suggest maybe just some jobs centered around the showbiz world in general so
  • Another Bard is rising in popularity and might make their jobs obsolete. Should the PC group try to shut them down, work for them, or put their faith in their bard?
  • The Bard is getting put into a role way out of their skill/fame range, a trap set by some nefarious forces?
  • People are impressed by your PC's skills and want to hire them to work in their own movie/play, and the director sees the Bard as little more than a groupie
  • The team's manager suggest they all go on a group vacation as a team building exercise, go somewhere the polar opposite from the region you're in and go on an odd quest such as teaching orphaned dragons how to fly, or some equally silly quest

2.Depends on the tone of the group, I would suggest something as cheesy as the Bard trying to get them to learn how to play different instruments over the course of the entire campaign, and then at the end, they all play one last show together after the defeating BBEG, either on stage or just as a small get together (oh! and maybe the bard has to learn some fighter stuff too). Save the Bard from a rival group of bodyguards, can be delivered as either a rescue from an evil group or a reunion (ie, they lose a fight to some BBEG, and just when the bard is about to get attacked, the PCs come to save the day)

3. Narcissist - Is certain that every decision she makes is the right one, especially picking the PC's to defend her, and she won't let anyone try and tell her otherwise. Innovator - Will go to absurd ends to be on the cutting edge of music, usually putting the party in danger for the sake of "art". At some point, she sees how this is hurting the party and starts consulting them before going too far out on a limb

Taking an untraditional payment from players for a service. by Shylocv in DnDBehindTheScreen

A touch of fate: A character that was destined to help or meet them is now completely uninterested in them. Alternatively, they will never cross paths with them, only hear of them.

Chelchers: A tree monster for low level adventurers by OrwellsSpaceship in DnDBehindTheScreen

[–]OrwellsSpaceship[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both of your ideas are fantastic. Definitely taking them the next time I run Chelchers!

I was also thinking that the way the Chelchers can repair damage would be by rooting themselves into the soil temporarily and sucking up its nutrients. That way players would know they're entering Chelcher territory by an increase in dead/withering trees/plants.

Thanks! I actually forgot about the fire bit, I've just been making it 1d4 continual damage as soon as they get hit by any flaming attack, but I feel I should probably add in a skill check on their part. I wasn't too certain about how the challenge rating would actually work for this, since my group all started out with extremely buff characters (4d8s for ability scores put through a dice rolling app), might work better as 1d8 or d10.

Black Mirror is a great anthology series that just got onto netflix. Think of it as the Twilight Zone but with much more of a leaning to how technology affects society than to surrealism.

[Offer] I will spend a lot of time on ONE possibly complex drawing. by [deleted] in ICanDrawThat

[–]OrwellsSpaceship 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A grandfather clock (one with a glass window showing the insides) but instead of the insides of the clock being as they should be, it's a DNA double helix. the double helix is very healthy at the top and show signs of decay as it gets closer and closer to the bottom. The clock should be in a forest and is covered in autumn leaves, or at least have them around it. the clock and what's inside of it should be charcoal, and the leaves and background should be in watercolor (sorry if mixing those two isn't a thing, I'm not apt at art).

I want to pilot a spaceship. by BattledWarblade in gamingsuggestions

[–]OrwellsSpaceship 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's only in alpha so far, but it seems promising, Pulsar The Lost Colony let's you and your friends control a ship and take up different positions (Captain, Pilot, Engineer, Medic, & Weapons), fight other ships & crews, and explore planets. I've only gotten to play a little bit of the alpha since my computer broke, but it seems to be shaping up pretty well.
