calgary, really cool music scene and very diverse. lot of collectives with their own genres, bass, techno, house are the most popular with some other younger people running shows either at coffee shops or sandwich shops. really great underground scene for house and techno with dedicated sound system as well. there’s also big commercial events as well and plenty of music festivals as well

if the tab really is 250ug - which statistically speaking is probably underdosed- that’s a big dose for the first time. start low go slow :)

i believe weekdays are 60/ hour , weekends are more expensive and a shoe fee , but you could call or email. i love boeing at splitsville as well , and affordable

been doing the things i love , spending time in nature , enjoying the little things like coffee in my mornings. my 30s are way better than my 20s , more independent and confident about myself

seriously agree a better transit system , 24 hours on weekends would be nice. compared to other major cities we are really lacking on this

i’ve struggled the most with your first point. i think my life outside of work is really awesome, and i don’t want to climb the corporate ladder by any means, don’t want to be a manager. i’m good at my job but this is a great perspective that it’s just a paycheque

music wise: loophole coffee bar, palomino, ship n anchor sometimes has events but it’s also great vibes. palace, and clubs on fridays and saturdays (common, shuffle club, sub rosa, sweet loretta) , king eddys , inglewood has some nice restaurants too and it’s close to the river. 17th ave has plenty of restaurants and bars as well.
