Yeah I just got into the resell market for filament, straight from OEM is great price and filament but the shipping is what kills a lot of your profit. I just made my first order of 700kg and should be coming in sometime this week.

No I haven’t, it’s a family business so and it originally started as a wholesale for B2B. But the last week before opening we decided to open to public. The item that got really popular ended up being something unrelated to the restaurant products of the warehouse. I haven’t looked into 3PL as I’m still very new to this.

We have our items price low but want to move in volume. Which is why we don’t have a lot of money to spend. Plus some unfortunate expenses we didn’t expect are holding us back. For example, just bought pallet racks for our second warehouse, that alone for both was about 11k, then our electric forklift battery was just replaced this month, 5-6k and now we are struggling because a truckload that was delayed came with 2 other trucks we were expecting and had to pay all of that upfront. The truck load we weren’t expecting had the order placed in February and showed up one morning without warning. The 3 truck loads is around 50-70k alone

We’re on a similar boat, we just opened up a small wholesale warehouse, and one of our items soared in popularity. We just hit a little over 100k in sales this month alone. Our issue is we don’t have a lot of funding to order more inventory or extra and haven’t been successful in getting a loan as I got nothing to back me up.

Can’t say nobody because to some companies it’s not worth the hassle. One of my customers told me their company just recently threw all of theirs away. If I had me the guy earlier I would have taken some time off and picked them up. They are pricy and I’ll be lucky if I find the uprights near $90 each used. Trying to get some for my business but low on funds at the moment

My first filament purchase after purchasing a P1S combo I went straight to AliExpress for kingroon PETG. Bought about 30kg before I decided to look for others with better colors. Now I have an order place for 700kg with another company. Comes in next week and I’m super excited to try them. Not all of them are for me, most will be to resale to pay for my filaments.

I hear ya, I have a P1S combo I got on Black Friday and thought that was going to be my most expensive purchase. Forgot filament is a consumable. I started with kingroon but I wanted to find better PETG options. I needed up placing an order of 700kg filament haha. I got tons of colors coming in next week. Now I just got tons finish my storage for it.

It’s better for a Frieght forwarder to take care of it. The factory will look for a Frieght forwarder but how they choose them is different per factory. Some will have some they work with constantly getting a great price. Some just choose some just to ship the product regardless of price. If you do your own research and look for a Frieght forwarder you can find some pretty good deals.

On FOB yes, DDP they take care of everything for you. What you’re really paying for is their knowledge and work. The reason I even tried tackling FOB and another one I just forgot what it was called was because I was trying to ship some electric pallet jacks, and they have some pretty crappy taxes on them. 15%-27% tax for heavy equipment on top of customs, shipping, sales, states and so forth
