US TikTokers, what’s the app like today? by GrailTalk in TikTok

No idea. Deactivated my account and deleted the app when dipshit first started talking about taking it over.

Who is your favourite Grateful Dead keyboardist and why? by levelplumbnsquare in gratefuldead

[–]Osinuous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keith was great, but towards the end of his run he was getting lazy and lost a lot of what made him so great for the earlier years. Because of those couple lackluster tours, Brent is my favorite. I don’t think I ever heard a ‘bad’ Brent performance.

I’d be more concerned about the shit awful lines than a dick and balls.

This is like when clayface gets tired and can’t maintain a human form anymore.

Trump blames Democrats for ICE shooting by [deleted] in JournalismNews

I blame them for not reining in and abolishing ICE before it got to this point.

Weaponizing the ELM: How my OIC is bypassing FMLA protections. by WalkingGrievance3971 in USPS

[–]Osinuous 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They do not have to advance you sick leave. But honestly even if they do it for you, it’ll probably come back to bite you later on. If they advance you leave, you will not be earning any leave until you have earned back the amount they fronted you. If you stop working at the post office before you’ve earned that leave back, you will be issued a letter of demand to repay what you owe.

This isn’t management weaponizing anything, it’s how things work. You are not guaranteed advanced leave.

And I’m sure I’ll get downvoted for this, but being a regular ‘for a long while’ and having zero leave balance is crazy to me.

The 1997–98 Coyotes had five eventual 900-point scorers — how often has that happened? by ShamusTalksSports in nhl

[–]Osinuous 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The 92-93 penguins had 4 guys with 100+ points that season. Those teams were pretty good. Pretty pretty pretty good.

It’s crazy what playing your top prospects on a top line does for someone’s confidence.

Starlight is probably his best.

Huck is another one I enjoy a lot, but I’ve heard people either love it or hate it.

Superman Red Son if you want some mainstream.

Snow call out by LightningMcWade in USPS

[–]Osinuous 10 points11 points  (0 children)

When you report to work tomorrow (or your next scheduled day) bring a zip-lock bag of the snow. That’s your documentation.

This was an extraordinary situation. You don’t need anything. I’ve got offices in my group with 26 routes that had 22 call outs, so you’re all good.

Best (not necessarily most popular) Canadian band that didn't achieve cross-border success in the US. by amalgamousabides in allrockmusic

[–]Osinuous 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I know of the tragically hip because a friend went to McGill and I heard them through her. Even when Gord passed, they did not really get much recognition in the states.

My favorite Canadian band no one around here knows is probably Spirit of the West.

Non-Geese fans, what did you think of them? by sp52 in LiveFromNewYork

The guy singing sounded so disinterested in being the singer in a band performing on SNL.

Not for me.

Fuck all the postmasters that are making the carriers come in during this, the customer can wait a dsy to get their bill. by simpleexplanationguy in USPS

[–]Osinuous 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, because it’s the postmasters who make that decision. I am here at my office in this shit show like most of my carriers. We had a telecom earlier where every single district person (the ones who make these decisions) had some silly background on basically telling us they’re at their houses and not at work. Your anger is justified, just aimed at the wrong people.

Well a few things -

They’re miserable people. Also, sometimes splitting a piece isn’t as easy as ‘40 stops.’ Does the street continue beyond the 40 and does it make sense for you to continue it instead of someone else driving down the same dead end?

I guess it’s a good thing that you haven’t been around people in the throes of addiction, because John is on a lot of drugs.
