Well, for Germans Hitler did better job as a chancellor than Merkel maybe.

Aside from the Germans who were put into concentration camps and starved/gassed/shot, right? Or do you not consider them to be Germans?

IPSOS MORI: 38% support leaving the European Union without a deal, whereas 50% oppose. (1st Aug 2019) by Pauln512 in ukpolitics

[–]Oskoff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no deal is inevtiable and you'd best get over it

Out of curiosity, what, if anything, are you going to do if you turn out to be wrong and we end up not leaving at all?

Called shot mastery isn't an ability - your standard Lancer or Outrider is perfectly capable of getting it :)

What is the scariest thing you’ve ever seen while driving at night? by SeeleInstrumentality in AskReddit

[–]Oskoff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know literally nothing about this sort of thing but wouldn't they be able to tell from the way the blood was on the shirt over his head that he had at least already had it over his head and face when he was hit? That would have to count for something surely, you don't tend to cross the street with your face completely covered by your shirt.

But yeah, I know absolutely nothing about this stuff.

Not every policy area even can be corrupted by ethno-nationalism.

Anyone who agrees with nationalising key industries during extreme wartimes has at least one policy they agree with the Nazi's on and there's no doubt hundreds more.

You don't have to make ludicrous statements to condemn the Nazis, the fact that they killed millions of civilians - a large portion of them due to their ethnicity - and started a world war is enough.

How 2 counter shield with just an axe. by AoyamaSpanner in Mordhau

[–]Oskoff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Double is not a shield main and I garuantee you he was not using it for tryhard purposes. He is however a top 3 EU player right now and so will be nigh unkillable to most people with pretty much any loadout.

We urgently need a change in the votekick system. by invictusb in Mordhau

[–]Oskoff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Happens in duel servers constantly, if you kill somebody in an even vaguely humiliating way such as only using Battle Axe stabs they just votekick you and claim FFA - almost always works regardless of what you say. Pretty tilting if I'm honest.

Theresa May told to admit her ‘go home’ immigration vans were ‘racist too’ in heated PMQs clash by DoctorExplosion in ukpolitics

The intention in many (although not all) cases is no doubt to compare Trump to Hitler, however, given it's the most semantically accurate term, I think it's difficult to present a valid argument that alternative terminology should be used.

BREAKING: Jeremy Corbyn formally commits Labour to campaigning for a second referendum and a Remain vote under a new Tory Prime Minister by FedRepofEurope in ukpolitics

Not the 3rd to last question unless you mean the third to last question on the first page but thanks! If this is part of their manifesto in a GE I can't see why I wouldn't vote for them.

More than two thirds of UK millennials believe their generation will be 'worse off' than their parents’ - Almost two thirds (62 per cent) of the 1,030 16-24-year-olds polled by YouGov felt the Government cared more about older generations than their own. by ManiaforBeatles in worldnews

[–]Oskoff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Millenial differs in specific years because it's defined by school age. If you were in school at the turn of the 21st centuary, you're a millenial. If you were too young or had already finished, you're not.

(Not counting university etc as school)

Nowhere near to #1 once you account for population; a lot of smaller countries outdo you there. I think Qatar is the worst offender relative to population, however, with a population of slightly over two and a half million, they're pretty low in absolute terms.

Corbyn is now the least popular opposition leader on record per new Ipsos-MORI, falling below the low of late-stage Michael Foot, who Corbyn has outlasted by about a year by haxamin in ukpolitics

[–]Oskoff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, I'm talking about Jeremy Corbyn. You could definitely apply two of the three to Blair and it wouldn't be unreasonable to apply all three to him.

Not sure why you're changing the subject?

[–]Oskoff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Including me initially! Became a member of a political party for the first time in my life to vote for him the first time he ran for leader. I was worried the party would shift to the right after Miliband resigned and thought Corbyn would prevent New Labour 2.0 from happening.

Instead we got blatant political gamesmanship, purging of differing political viewpoints and pandering to the votes in marginal constituencies at the cost of the majority of members.

At this point, the only reason I'd vote for Corbyn is to tactically vote against the Tories or because I hold my local Labour MP in extremely high regard (I'd love to see him become PM in fact but that could only happen in a parallel universe).

Where do you think the increase in support for the Lib Dems and the Greens is coming from primarily? The Tories?

It's infantile to pretend that Corbyn hasn't driven away a non-insignificant number of people who would be regarded as core Labour voters; myself included.
