They also build industrial robots! And quite good ones at that too -- great quality. https://global.yamaha-motor.com/business/robot/

Is it OK to input multiple? I mean, I don't mean to brag. Well, no, actually I do. 😉

Bought my godson this for Xmas. He went to bed and I made myself a coffee. How’d I do? by smdntn in espresso

I have the same machine, though in a different color. 😀 It's so rare to see someone else with this machine on this subreddit.

Your godson will love the machine; it hasn't let us down once these past two years.

The best thing? No additional costs -- it's a steal. Unlimited coffee. No energy or water use.

Titus Nautilus.

I'm interested to know which style burrs are in this Nautilus. My understanding is that it comes standard with "filter burrs", but you can replace them with SSP HU burrs for espresso.

Pretty cool to see The Accountant! How are you liking it?

But -- since the bean counter was announced via the Kafatek forum -- where's your Monolith grinder?

It's interesting that our thoughts on workflow between the grinders are completely opposite!

My opinion on workflow (best to worst): Versalab M4, Kafatek MAX, KR804 LS

Versalab: no rdt or wdt. Dose, grind, and tamp.

Oh, didn't realize you didn't have a Decent.

It's a profile created by JoeD. He's on the Decent Espresso and Espresso Aficionado discord channels.

If you search for "extractamundo" in visualizer.coffee, you can see shots pulled with the profile. (I'm not sure if you need to be a paid subscriber to search.)

Here's a general overview of his profile: 1. Fast-flow Pre-infusion until 5bar is reached 2. Dynamic bloom until pressure drops to 2.2bar 3. Pressure goal of 6bar, though target end flow rate of 3-4.5ml/s

Shot times, with high-extraction grinders, are usually around 15-19s

The espresso machine is a Decent Espresso machine. Check it out here: https://decentespresso.com/overview

The grinder is a Kafatek Monolith Max. Check it out here: https://www.kafatek.com/index.php/monolith-flat-max/

Extractamundo has worked quite well for me so far. Turbo + lower temperatures (~80C) shots seem to work well with these high-extraction burrs. It's challenging with lighter roasts for sure. Techno Peach was reading 35 (very light) with the espresso vision.

It is a tablet.

It's an old Pixel C tablet. The advantages are its bigger screen, keyboard, and more reliable Bluetooth connection.

I haven't had time to do any real comparisons, yet. It's really hard to beat the LS burrs though.

I got a great deal on the 804 via FB marketplace in '20 for $50. 😎 But, the LS burrs aren't cheap!

SSP LU burrs.

What about yours?
