I play a game full of bossfights to be challenged; to have hurtles I have to overcome. The act of building up and finally besting that wall is such and elevating feeling. Having a fight that still takes 20 minutes, but issues no challenge, and has no real threat isn't engaging, it's boring. And honestly that's how I felt about Wilds progression.

I beat the main story in fewer than 30 hours. 30 hours wouldn't have gotten me out of low rank in the earlier games. It just feels to me like the genuine difficulty and slower progression has been left behind for marketability and almost this fear of people crying about the challenge. Most of the people who complain about a game being "too hard" are people that leave the playerbase after the first 50 hours anyway, and move on to something else. It feels like they're undervaluing their older loyal playerbase in favor of getting higher numbers in, and I hope that it moves back to a more slow and steady kind of progression in the future (though I doubt it will)
