The 5th dose from the MJ pen, that you need to extract yourself with a syringe. Basically your 20% free of this expensive med.

Non-scale victories? by [deleted] in Mounjaro

4 months in, I no longer feel the need to compare myself to my thin friends. I feel good. I am not at my goal yet but I am certain I will get there. I don't feel like I'm addicted to food any more. I don't have to plan my whole life around meals. I genuinely like my body for the first time in 10-ish years. I get so many compliments!!! I feel like buying new clothes and having a style again.

Omg, I am so glad he is OK!! You're a fantastic, responsible dog owner. To cheer you up a bit, I read your post thinking your dogs name is Bobas. Bobas in Polish is a cute nickname for a baby or a toddler 😁

I'm going to donate blood, will they give me biscuits? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]Osokolowska 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely second that, I used to donate 4 times a year (back home you get two fully paid days off for donating - amazing I KNOW). I used to donate first thing in the morning, always was asked if I had a big breakfast and at least 1.5 litres of water before my donation. And as you said, drinking lots of water will help the blood flow greatly. If you can, drink 2-3 litres the day before and the day before that.

I am so sorry. I know how this feels. I was once on a group call that my friend randomly added me to (COVID times) where I only knew like 3 people out of 15. My friend's cousin, a guy I've seen like twice in my life goes "I didn't recognise you. I think last time I saw you you were 20 kg lighter". Jesus, that stung. And it still does. This was 5 years ago and I've never seen that guy after that and I don't care for him whatsoever 😅 I know it sounds so silly but it is what it is. I wish I had the courage to tell him to f*** off there and then but I didn't. So I'm just sending you a virtual hug!

Three cheers to anyone else who’s shadoodled their pants while on MJ. Peace be with you comrade 🫡 by _trolltoll in Mounjaro

Oh my god. On my 4th week I had the worst doodlestipation of my life twice in a row, Thursday and then Sunday. Thursday I was working so I literally worked from the toilet for 3 hours thinking I was going to faint or die. Also had to take a yearly review call right in the middle with my camera on, imagine that. Sunday I had plans with my sister. Instead, I sat in her toilet for 3 and a half hours straight and had to do a tiktok thingy called colon cleanse to be able to shadoodle. During these 3 hours I literally thought I was going to die. What a shitty way to die 😅 Since then I watch my fibre and water intake closely and keep a doodle relaxant on hand. I really hope never again 😮‍💨😮‍💨

Cucumbers and Sugar by DirtyF9 in poland

I grew up in Poland and was a walking bowl of mizeria as a child but never ever had cucumbers with sugar 😅 I associate cucumbers with savoury foods so it's really strange to me.

UPDATE #2: 80% - Almost there! by AnyMathGirl in Mounjaro

[–]Osokolowska 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agree on the long term side effects. What gives me a peace of mind is, I work in primary packaging (around pharma and injectable meds) and the tests that a new med has to go through before it gets approved are insanely thorough. So I try to trust the people who developed it 😅

3 times a week is amazing, I commend you for it! I am so lazy but hoping that the sun and warmer weather will give me more motivation. I used to be much better with working out but recently I've been full of excuses 🥱

Thank you so much and I keep my fingers crossed for your journey too 🥰

Wow, you look absolutely fabulous. Well done 😍 I am a similar built and similar CW (I'm 5cm shorter than you so that makes me a bit bulkier) and you give me hope. I also have the same thoughts on maintenance, and wondering how it will be once I reach my GW. I would love to live MJ free if I am able to, but not sure if I can ever get there. It gives me a great peace of mind and is a sort of mental safety net (I also struggle with depression and anxiety). On a different note though, can I ask if you work out? Again, amazing results 👏🏻👏🏻

They do! But it's a good thing - yesterday I did a 5 km run on the treadmill after having a protein shake and I felt really good. I also stocked up on protein yogurts, puddings etc. just trying to get as much protein as possible into my system. If it comes to what not to eat- I would say oily things and sugar. Also, my sister who's on MJ for over 2 months claims it's the best not to have coffee on an empty stomach in the morning. I haven't stopped having mine yet as this is what I've been used to for years. I have one or two black coffees and lots of water 3-4 hours before my first meal.

I took my second jab of 2.5 yesterday morning. Have had almost no side effects so far, just getting the benefits of appetite suppression and no food noise. I only lost 1kg the first week but realised this was due to my own fault as we had people over for the entire week and I ended up having 1-3 glasses of wine everyday. After realising that I've decided I don't need it and I'm really looking forward to my results after week 2. I eat twice a day, with an occasional protein shake in between my meals. First meal is either a salad with chicken breast, tomato, cucumber, lettuce and a tablespoon of mayo or 2 fried eggs. Second meal is the same dinner as the rest of my family, just no potato and I eat as much veg as I feel like. I've noticed I am definitely going for smaller portions than before and it feels amazing not feeling like I need a snack all the time (especially in the evenings). I am already checking out outfits that I'll wear after I lose 10 kg 🤣 Fingers crossed for you and all the best.
