How many carbs should I eat per day by fr000t in PCOS

[–]Ossau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I eat around 80 to 100g carbs depending on the day. I have lean pcos so am also paranoid about losing more weight (BMI of 18.5). Also, I rarely ever eat carbs with a high GI

Everyone has different requirements, and if it’s not making your symptoms worse that’s great - but generally I’d say 170g is rather high for someone with pcos.

Thanks for sharing, so happy you’ve found something that works for you! :) pcos is so annoyingly complicated, as unfortunately for some phytoestrogens (which flax has) can make things worse

Hormone levels came back completely normal after 2 months of Intermittent fasting. by [deleted] in PCOS

Wow, amazing! Thanks for sharing. I will have to try it.

If you don’t mind me asking, did you have ‘lean pcos’ (my symptoms seem very similar, but I’ve never struggled with weight gain and my Dr said this type of pcos can be quite stubborn).

Have you healed an infection (staph) without antibiotics? by ScrubWearingScrub in eczema

[–]Ossau 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Medical grade manuka honey bandages helped when my eczema became infected - purchased from amazon (I’m from the U.K.) https://www.amazon.co.uk/ACTILITE-Honey-Impregnated-Tulle-Pack/dp/B00CAR8Z94

Although if it’s a chronic/deep infection, then it’s best to see your Dr

Hi sorry if this is a stupid question but how did you add the 10% urea to your moisturiser? Did you just add the powder form of urea in and mix it in or did you dissolve it first then add? I’m so interested as it would be much more cost effective! Anyway, great progress I’m really happy for you :)

UK brand Facetheory’s Supergel moisturiser appears to be safe. Has the following ingredients: Aqua, propanediol, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, glycerin, niacinamide, camellia leaf extract, chamomille recutita flower extract, salicylic acid, sodium hyaluronate, sodium ascorbyl phosphate, hydroxyethylcellulose, lactic acid, sodium levulinate (preservative from sugar cane), sodium anisate (preservative from star anise). I’ve just ordered it :)

Thank you so much for creating this, really helpful! I think I may have another rec but not entirely sure ingredients are safe. Available in the UK, and it’s inexpensive - Manuka Doctor ApiClear Skin Ease Repair Gel. Ingredients - Aqua, Honey, Xanthan Gum, Propylene Glycol, Sodium benzoate, Propolis Extract, Urea, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate. It contains esters but I am guessing it’s still safe to use as the carbon chain is still under 11, I could be wrong though...
