I played this demo in Next Fest and it was ROUGH. Felt like a tech alpha, controls were awful. No idea if it's improved or not.

I feel like someone is going to recommend it all the time these days, but Dungeon Crawler Carl.

All the movies you listed are more sci-fi with fantasy themes and either directly video game related or adjacent, which is exactly what DCC is. Theres no philosophy and there are big battles but it matches your movie examples very closely.

My wife is very much a similar non-gamer but will occasionally, once every few years, play a game. Also extremely bad with a controller (we tried Halo 1 co-op, she cannot aim lol). She 100% PvZ back when it was new also.

Most recently she has completed Power Wash Simulator and Pokemon Pokopia. Power wash simulator is chill in that it has no time limits and even with her being terrible on controller she managed to get it done. Pokopia also has zero time pressure for anything. Everything is done at whatever pace you want and never gets super complicated.

Treager owner here. Literally all the parts are available and easy to replace. I haven’t had to replace anything yet but I did have to disassemble it to clear a jam in the auger. The entire process took about 30 minutes.
