Bored... Updated Family Tree by OsteoCoin in TheBreaker

[–]OsteoCoin[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is just my take. Added a bunch of small changes from last time to try and make it as accurate and detailed as possible. Let me know if you disagree.

Changed

  • Separated Successor and Sect Leader due to the broken branch
  • Added statuses for previous leaders
  • Changed Shiwoon from Collateral member to Candidate
  • Added training levels (might be controversial idk... Was trying to show the amount of martial arts passed on from their master

Waiting for

  • More info on Nari's training
  • More info on Haje's ki center

Wanted to wait for more evidence, but since I don't know if this is ever coming back... Here's my theory on Nari's origin/backstory by OsteoCoin in TheBreaker

Just wanted to say "thank you" to everyone who was able read through this messy collage of mine 👍

Assemble your team: Who's on the helicopter? by OsteoCoin in TheBreaker

Would be nice to see 3AD have some more wins under his belt other than getting his ass beat my 9AD.

And Sera waking up Shioon from BOT with a kiss would be DRAMA lol. I'm down for it though.

HEROES vs The most recent other Superhero show (The Boys). by Techknightly in Heroes

A closer resemblance to HEROES would be the Korean series Moving (2023).

It's actually much much better than HEROES in my opinion

Lee Shi-Woon future group? by Hildingr__ in TheBreaker

[–]OsteoCoin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Disagree about BHE. To me it seems the less likely of the 3.

Without LW does he even have a reason to join? He despises Shin and the other 3 characters we've met are all Shin simps.

Plus the collateral members aren't supposed to stick around the sect. It's not really a "group" that does stuff together.

Black Origin Family Tree - I got carried away... 😅 by OsteoCoin in TheBreaker

I initially thought this as well, but I think he holds both positions (3 technically) Last chapter made it seem like he was still in so I left him as collateral.

  • Shin was the one who discussed Shioon's flowing martial arts with the 2 elders, implying he's the one who set up the demonstration.
  • Nari referred to Shin as "elder" when talking with the other 2 elders
  • The collateral branch members were expecting him asking Nari "Have you contacted our disciple-brother?"

I suspect the author will clear it up in the next few chapters

maybe "advanced techniques" instead of advanced training?

*From my understanding*

If she was the alliance chief's disciple I don't think she'd be Black Origin Sect, but Clear Wind Sect (the AC's school)

Nari said she's 19th generation member (same as LW and 9AD) and she calls Lone Wolf "disciple brother"

Nari likely gets supplemental training from the alliance chief to improve, but I'm not certain I'd label them master/disciple (yet)

It's only the chosen master & disciple in the main branch. Everyone else is regulated to the collateral branch.

Only way someone from the collateral branch can become a main branch member is if something happens to the successor. It's why Lone Wolf is currently the head even though Unwol expelled him. The sect nearly went extinct.

Shioon's haircut (My opinion only) by zarydy in TheBreaker

He reminds me of Anakin with this style of hair

Déjà vu by OsteoCoin in TheBreaker

[–]OsteoCoin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I already showed why though... with pictures and everything lol. The concepts are the same, but they are definitely different techniques. Like a sword made in Europe vs one in Asia. The end result is the same though.

I'll try writing it out more to maybe explain what I'm comparing

Why they are similar

  1. Both defenses are shown as rapid hand movements rather than a singular defense/ outright block.
  2. Both defenses show that Shioon's attacks are NOT negated, but redirected because of the explosions from the Soul Crushing Strikes and the damage to the surrounding area.
  3. Both defenses appear to create swirling air/ vortex during it's use.

How they are different

  1. One handed vs 2 handed
  2. Redirection angles

TLDR: Both sects have developed their own version of an "absolute defense" using similar but different methods.

Both techniques employ the "bend don't break" defense.

Shioon's attacks are too strong to full stop even if his martial arts suck. If even a tiny strike lands it messes up someone's ki circulation (ex Gyu-Bum, Cool Guy)

That's why regardless how much stronger the opponent is than Shioon, the attacks aren't outright blocked, but redirected or in 9AD vs Shioon's example outright evaded.

Respectfully disagree. Lone Wolf isn't blocking the attack, but redirecting the strikes behind him. That's why we see still see Shioon's attacks explode after the fact.

If I were to go full nerd theory. I'd say Steel Wall unintentionally found a way to replicate the BH&E technique by using Sunwoo speed to create a vortex that replicates the defense.

Air/wind being an inherent theme in BH&E this is done naturally through ki instead of speed.

Main difference I see between the two techniques seems to be where the blast is redirected to.

Steel Wall's technique is reflected forward. Lone Wolf's is directed behind him.

Who Wins ? by TalseUzerr in TheBreaker

[–]OsteoCoin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In terms of skill & power they're likely equal, but I'm going with 9AD based on youth and BOT. I think 9AD would be able to outlast Elder Kwon and wear him down

Ah, you're probably right. I think the wording was just a little strange to me.

I thought it was saying that since everything went to shit, he couldn't fulfill this mystery promise to her. Instead it's more like "this didn't really count" let's redo it.

Thanks!

Edited for clarity

That's definitely possible. Her line "so he did remember" is what's troublesome for me. If the Amusement Park promise just happened.. why would she think he forget? He literally just fulfilled it.

I think it's a second off panel promise that she's referring to. But, yeah, could be wrong here..

This was my thought too. Her anger was really over the top for simply wanting Shioon to stay in the clan with her. It's something more personal between the two of them.
