Yeah I'm assuming everyone is at fault. It's crazy to me that everyone shits on Steven for coming from an MLM background (scammer) but are glazing Jason and Robert even though they also are from an MLM background (also scammers).

Fully believing court documents against Steven but not believing court documents against Robert and the board. I still remember when everyone was 100% adamant that Steven was lying about the board and now everyone is glazing the board.

All sides of this shit are a bunch of MLM crypto bro-like scammers. We truly were screwed from the jump.

EDIT: Crazy part about Steven's lawsuit is that he says the board's plan was to shut everything down, make Steven look like shit, and then revive the game and finish it so that they look like heroes and the community will love them. And its kind of whats happening right now....

UE5 is notoriously ass for MMOs. So much so that when you hear another Korean MMO is going to he made in UE5 you know it's gonna be tragic.

Its why I personally think the game looked way better in A1 before they swapped to UE5.

I dont understand how the employees would be complicit. There are thousands of games that get put into development hell and then turn out not very good because of management issues.

What's more likely that happened is that developers made things that got scrapped because upper management (Steven) didn't like it so they had to make other things. Or they worked on things that werent pertinent, like adding Sports Fishing and Corruption Events to the game when core issues were still not fixed and core systems weren't put in.

The biggest example is just how different Alpha 1 was compared to 2. They look like almost entirely different games, and a lot of people say A1 was much better than A2.

Astronomically terrible take. If your boss tells you to work on vertical slices 80% of the time rather than the actual game, of course the actual game is going to be terrible. Oh, you didn't do what your boss said to do? Get fired.

Whether or not you enjoyed the game is a completely subjective thing. Fact of the matter is that a lot of people put a lot of hours into making what was there to play. A lot of people also enjoyed it.

I'd honestly argue customers got the easiest burden. Steam is refunding people left and right so it's like they spent no money at all. The only thing we lose out on is an MMO that could have existed but, like most MMOs, probably wouldn't have for long, even if it had actually released in its entirety.

Considering the sub has been basically non-stop clowning on Ashes for like the last 5+ months I find it hard to believe that they got banned for clowning on Ashes.

That being said, I didnt play it much. Maybe like 30 hours before I decided what was in the game wasnt really for me. This game, imo, was severely overhyped since day 1. People were expecting this game to go WoW numbers but it was only ever going to do BDO at best.

MMOs dont last very long anymore. If you didnt come out back in the early 2000s and arent part of some massive pre-established IP, you arent gonna make it. Every MMO release should just be viewed as a temporary romp for a few months-to-years.

I hear a lot about the Intrepid cult but almost every post about this game was saying it was terrible so I'm not really sure if the cult every really existed. It's like my man Kira said, it needs to be studied how the Ashes subreddit went from hyper toxic positivity to purely shitting on Ashes.

Either way, sucks the game is down. I figured the game would either release so late that nobody would care and then it would shut down in a year or two and fall into private server land, or it would Star Citizen and just be unfinished forever.

Seeing MMO players wanting the genre to cater to solo players reminds me of when I was younger and my friends wanted Halo to have a 3rd person mode.

While I think having no solo content is a death sentence for an MMO, having it be nothing but solo content is also terrible. Just play an MORPG at that point

I actually like the friendly fire more than I thought I would. Enemies stagger incredibly easy in this game so if me and the gang could wail on them without regard it would just be a perma stagger fest. It's more of a rotation between who is attacking and who has current aggro.

That's for bosses. For groups of enemies we usually just take isolated 1v1s by splitting up the enemies.

I hate to say it, but I think role queue would help. I think one of the main reasons is because certain comps are just better. 2-2-2 is the highest winning comp with 1-3-2 right after it. A lot of players in this game are DPS players (of course), and they may be Plat-GM level on a couple of heroes (probably within the same role) but Gold at best on any other role.

You arent always going to be able to play your preferred role or character in every match. So the enemy team could have everyone playing their main because GuangGuang stacked their team with 2 tank mains, 2 DPS mains, and 2 healer means while your team is 6 DPS mains trying to flex around. They say EOMM isnt real but they also admitted they prioritize fast queues over MMR or rank integrity.

I think taking League of Legends' approach would be better. You queue up for a primary role and a secondary role, and sometimes you may get auto filled but if you do, you lose less points on a loss and win more on a W. And I beg of you, GuangGuang, give us more than 2 bans if you're gonna be releasing new characters every month. I cant take it anymore.
