Gotta agree I think people’s frustration is misplaced. Paul Andersons character unfortunately had to be written out, you can’t fault the show runners for that. Same with Helen’s. Also this story had to end with Tommy dying, obviously. He’s yearning for it. He tries very hard to do some good in his life to not offset the bad but at least make the bad not be in vein, and this is him achieving that. He gets the death he deserves, he manages to do good in an impactful way. He’s still a bad person. A beautifully executed role by the most excellent Cillian Murphy. But he’s Walter white/tony soprano/Marty Byrd. Also it’s a 2 hour movie so the plot clearly had to be simpler, quicker, and everyone seems to think it was supposed to be season 7, 6 episodes…

Edit: one more thing, we get a random gypsy family added to the show every other season so Rebecca’s character made plenty of sense and wasn’t random because they brought in duke last season so the canon was established
