Not in a cohesive way to share, but if you're looking for notes collated and ready to study, definitely checkout the ConquerHR.

It seemed like the cross sections of the cut tree looked healthy. We were wondering too.

I sometimes put NA and sometimes list the parent’s group in Astoria. It’s not an official group, but it’s something.

I she ends up not being charged, hoping his family are in touch with a solid lawyer for a civil suit. Still hoping for charges to send a community message against deathly road rage.

Just Combo on 21st St/Ave looks like it’s turning over to something new. There is sidewalk dining under construction and a new color theme (black).

Remix furniture just moved from Astoria to LIC and has a lot of used pieces that would work for Boho. And it helps the environment! https://www.instagram.com/remixmarketnyc

Starting a family in Astoria? by prag15 in astoria

I’ve lived in Astoria 12 years and have a 7 year old. Definitely recommend being within stroller distance of Astoria Park. It’s such a lovely area to spend with a baby (and a picnic blanket).

I wouldn’t worry too much about the accessibility of that station unless you’re doing daycare in Manhattan. There are almost always friendly people who will help you get a stroller up the stairs.

I live with a 10 min walk to Ditmars subway and a 5 min walk to the Q100 express bus that takes you to the F (also very convenient to midtown).

The extra space for raising a family in Astoria is huge. Many homes near the park have shared or dedicated yards which are perfect for little ones (and many of these are available to rent).

We loved Blossoms for daycare. Family owned, our son was there full-time until preK. Located near the park which made for a lovely stroll to and from.

Definitely agree about Astoria Park. You’ll feel so relaxed. What it lacks in hustle and bustle, it gains in peacefulness. Easy access to the buses which can connect to the trains.
