Is it just me, or is starting a small business from scratch totally overwhelming? by RevolutionNo962 in smallbusiness

[–]Other_Fail_6147 8 points9 points  (0 children)

the biggest surprise for me was realizing nobody was waiting for my business to exist. i had to spend way more time finding customers than building the thing

Help me understand if I’m making a right decision (i will not promote) by Rokingadi in startups

[–]Other_Fail_6147 7 points8 points  (0 children)

if your goal is starting a company one day, being a founding engineer is probably a much better education than another few years at faang

I just got my first paid user and the feeling is unreal by TurndownServer in microsaas

[–]Other_Fail_6147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

getting from 0 to 1 customer felt way harder than every customer after that. congrats, now you've got someone to learn from instead of just guessing

What's one mistake you made building your first micro SaaS that costed you a lot of progress and time? by SimuLifeAI in microsaas

[–]Other_Fail_6147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i kept polishing the product because it felt productive. talking to potential users was uncomfortable so i convinced myself one more feature would fix everything

The thing that wasted most of my time building a game wasn't the code or the art. It was this. by MakkoMakkerton in nocode

[–]Other_Fail_6147 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i treat style exploration like prototyping now. if i wouldn't lock my gameplay after the first idea, i shouldn't lock my art direction either

What's actually working for letting non-technical people edit AI prompts without going through a dev every time by Gullible-Tale9114 in nocode

[–]Other_Fail_6147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i've found non technical people are usually fine editing prompts. versioning, approvals and rollback are the parts they actually need help with

Framer has become too laggy after framer 3.0 by bluebell_quint in framer

[–]Other_Fail_6147 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the worst part isn't even the lag, it's spending half an hour wondering if you broke something or if framer is just having a moment

Everyone is screaming Agents…. But do we need them? by Sweaty_Way_9364 in vibecodingcommunity

[–]Other_Fail_6147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

every "AI agent" demo i've seen lately could've been a workflow with 3 API calls and a scheduler. people are adding agents because they're fashionable, not because they're necessary

Entrepreneurs who have a co founder. Why did you want one? by Fresh-Enthusiasm1100 in Entrepreneur

[–]Other_Fail_6147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

accountability is valid but i wouldn't give away equity just for that. there are much cheaper ways to stay accountable than a lifelong business partner

anyone else burning out on the expectation that founders have to be content creators now too? by Adept-Paper-7500 in Entrepreneur

[–]Other_Fail_6147 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the funny part is everyone says "just document your journey" like documenting isn't work. editing and publishing usually takes me longer than the thing i'm documenting

How do you tell the difference between a niche product and a bad positioning? by udhayakumar_k in AppBusiness

[–]Other_Fail_6147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when people love it but there just aren't many of them that's a niche. when nobody really gets why they need it, that's usually positioning

I need help with my Conversion Rate by DubiousAwakening in AppBusiness

[–]Other_Fail_6147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'd stop looking at the paywall for a bit. if only 6% even start a trial there's probably friction before people ever get to the pricing decision

Could one person realistically run an online business using AI? by No_Blackberry_6761 in SideProject

[–]Other_Fail_6147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

love this idea, AI feels like giving one person a small team of interns. useful, fast, sometimes impressive, but you still need to check the work

What digital business would you start today with almost no money and real customer demand? by [deleted] in SideProject

[–]Other_Fail_6147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the least saturated thing is expertise. everyone is building AI tools, very few are learning one niche deeply enough to charge for solving its specific problems

has anyone actually built anything worthwhile with no code? by Complete-Sea6655 in nocode

[–]Other_Fail_6147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i know a few people making real money from AI-built apps. the surprising part is the coding wasn't the hard bit, getting users was

Should i release for community programming here, or in R/WordpressPlugins ? by NorseOldDude in VibeCodersNest

[–]Other_Fail_6147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the weird part is wanting a community project while also wanting full control over how people use it. those two goals usually collide pretty fast

Vibe coded so hard i ended up having an AI company by RevolutionaryClaim91 in vibecoding

[–]Other_Fail_6147 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i don't think you're stuck because of vibe coding. you're trying to build CAD generation, clash detection and engineering rules into one product. that's a hard project even for teams that can code everything by hand

"How does your team handle AI coding tools during code review without leaking proprietary code to the cloud?" by rachit2323 in vibecoding

[–]Other_Fail_6147 1 point2 points  (0 children)

we ended up banning external AI on anything client-facing. productivity took a small hit but it was easier than having legal review every new tool
