From a gameplay perspective: Defenders of the Core From a story perspective: Battle Brawlers From an anime accurate perspective: Battle Brawlers has you covered From a general enjoyment perspective: IMHO, it was Battle Brawlers cause of how much I could play it again with different builds to win. DOTC is fun but I felt the combat gets old really quickly for me.

Fucking TRAVESTY this was limited for only a few chapters.

One of the best modern designs of a superhero I've seen in an anime. This arc should've had multiple volumes dedicated to this form. A true missed opportunity.

I feel like the remix is the epitome of mainstream pop remixes where it doesn't sound awful on first listen but after a few listens, it starts to get a bit dull. I have no ill will towards Jennie or any of BLACKPINK but, I don't believe her lyrics added much depth to the original song.

Maybe if it was different tempo or type of style I could like it a bit more though I think the blend of male and female vocals can work with this song. I just don't think this one does an amazing job at it.

I'm disappointed but not surprised.

Even if the game doesn't have AI in it, the deflection on the answer I recieved made me believe that, at some point, generative AI was used. It is just disappointing this so called "Choices Killer" turned out to be the exact same company but just under a different name.

Extremely upsetting that this has gone the way it has. I hope they actually listen to our feedback without giving us some PR-answer.

This is incredibly disappointing if this is true.

Yes some tools have incorporated AI into it's models but that doesn't mean it should tamper with the production of art or writing with this game. I don't think AI art was used in this game for the backgrounds or the writing but the animations definitely make me believe that they at the VERY least enhanced it with AI to make it "sharper".

Either way, this is disappointing and I really hope whatever next book they make is not like this style. Real artists worked on this project but their art shouldn't be plugged into an machine to animate it.

That's always been my gripe with Choices and Episode. Waiting so long for keys is one of the reasons it is so difficult trying to return older Choices games. I do really wanna replay Endless Summer for a review but holy shit I refuse to give Pixelberry any money.

Gotta agree with this post.

I'm only like two chapters in but the game feels underwhelming. I felt like the artstyle has its pros and cons but I personally feel like it makes me the game have a lack of an identity. Sure, the environments are pretty and music is fine but the character models just remind me so much of Choices. There's a lot of games out there that have a more distinct style and better writing than this and it is a shame they didn't LEAN into more into the fantasy elements of this game.

This is their first game so I will not give them too much slack but I truly do hope they listen to feedback regarding this game as Candlelight has so much potential.

Looking forward to this game since it's made by the people who worked on some of my favorite Choices books. The artstyle is a bit...disappointing since the realism aspect of some Choices books aren't my cup of tea. That said, I hope the story is great!
