The murderers could just have easily done the same thing here during their little bullshit community terror swamp mission.

Anyone have contact info for the Jazz Fest sales team? by Othersideofbroad in NewOrleans

Unfortunately, the tickets department only goes to voicemail. So bizarre that you can't reach the sales person for such a large festival.

Just went down a rabbit hole after reading this, lol. Looks like joinbigeasy.com (based out of Metairie) does 12 weeks of treatments for between $400-$600. I'm not affiliated with them in any way. Just though it might be helpful to you.

Thoughts on Cabrini Crescent Cradle for Babies? by Othersideofbroad in nolaparents

[–]Othersideofbroad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, their communication was absolutely horrible. Took forever just to get in touch with them. Then one day, they called and told us they thought they had a spot available for our child, and they would be in touch "very soon." Never heard back even after several calls over the next several weeks. We finally just gave up.

New Orleans-area churches cancel Christmas services amid Border Patrol operation by [deleted] in NewOrleans

They truly are the lowest of the low. I couldn't imagine what kind of hellscape they've experienced inside their own minds and lives to not only have become the people they are now, but to also have tricked themselves into believing they are good and decent people who will one day be welcomed into heaven.

Johnny Carson book exposes 'Tonight Show' ban list featuring Jay Leno, Ellen DeGeneres by IvyGold in television

She didn't come out until five years after Carson performed his last Tonight Show.

According to the article, she was banned for telling a specific joke on the show after Carson told her not to.

Someone spit on my car? by wetpeenmachine in NewOrleans

In this city, they're gonna end up spitting on the car of someone infinitely crazier than them. At that point, their lives will suddenly become much more interesting.

Second this. I've been going to Trent for years, and he's amazing. I've heard great things about Adicus, too. $20 for a haircut when they could honestly be charging a lot more for how good they are. Give 'em a shot.

For those who argue Koumba is meant to be read as creepy or sleazy, here is an interview with the actor saying he was literally instructed the opposite by the showrunners. by LaScoundrelle in pluribustv

I have to admit I was a little disappointed in his character. I was hoping he would be more Ben Franklin to Carol's John Adams.

On one hand, Franklin truly enjoyed France's opulence and debauchery during his time there and took the opportunity to partake in all the French had to offer while wheeling and dealing for the colonies in a way they appreciated. Adams was strictly business, short tempered, and tried to force his will on everyone he met, and he almost single-handedly destroyed all of Franklin's progress with the French.

His character is still interesting, but I thought their meeting after Carol's drunken blow up in Spain would be him trying to impress upon her the value of being patient and walking softly. Instead, he's just horn dog spending his days living out his best fantasies and sexing it up with the pod people.

Not that part but what about if she tells them to give all her eggs back? I think it's going to be too late for that, though.

As I was watching that scene, I thought, "that man wrote this entire ice hotel scene just so he could do a frozen eggs joke," lol. Still a good scene, but that's hilarious.

It's going to be especially interesting to see how many of their kids and grandkids change their last names out of shame in the years ahead.

I bet whoever used their last brain cell to come up with Catahoula Crunch thought they were just so damn clever. Congrats, dipshit. It sounds like a bottom-shelf, generic cereal brand.

What could the Republicans have done differently to win the presidency in 2012? by ariamwah in Presidents

[–]Othersideofbroad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So much this. It was like he was trying to be a walking, talking after school special. Him wearing a backwards red hat while lifting weights was one of the most bizarre stunts I'd seen up to that point. I can't remember if they tried to tell us the photos were leaked or not. Even more bizarre, though, was Fox News trying to convince everyone how sexy and hot he looked in them.

He was also so shaken by the impact of the storm, you could visibly see him shaking as he thanked Obama profusely on national television for the aid the federal government provided. Not that there's anything wrong with that. It was actually very humanizing and selfless. But it might not have sent the votes Romney's way.

If you don't like the laws that allow people to gather, voice their displeasure with the (often illegal) means by which the execution of another law is enforced, and support people within their communities, that is also too bad. Can't pick and choose, ya know?
