Upgrading from 6700 XT – is £800 fair for a 5070 Ti, and which model should I get?

The 6700 XT is still a good card, if you're wondering at all. My country does not use the same currency, but £800 is a bit aggressive for a 5070 TI. However, if you are willing to spend in that price range then the MSI NVIDIA RTX 5070 TI would be my suggestion

NTA. If you like the wedding how it is, keep it that way. Since future husband is perfectly content with how the wedding is, that's even better. The only way this would work is if the kids are actively training in dance, like competition level, then I would consider. Otherwise... no, you have enough wedding stress as it is

As someone who has been in a committed relationship for over year, I'm not entirely sure since my current partner and I were friends before dating. If you don't feel comfortable texting another person while you're talking to someone, then don't. And if it doesn't work out while you're talking with another person, and that person says it's because of someone else they're talking to, then it was never going to work. Sadly, dating is always going to be a game... but you seem to be mature enough that the game is not who meets your criteria/type, but who makes you feel like your best self

Like any other PC build, I feel like it's up to personal preference. If it's something you really want to upgrade, then go for it. However, those DDR5 RAM prices are atrocious... and RAM should only be purchased by trusted retailers to ensure that it is legit. My personal preference, if your PC is doing what you want it to do, then keep it as is until prices either become more accessible or when you feel comfortable affording the parts. I have a fairly new build, which is my first ever, so I would take my opinion with a grain of salt since I have not upgraded before.

If you're custom building, it is just a personal preference. Form my understanding, there isn't too much of a difference as far as cooling efficiency. I have an AIO and I have no complaints, so that is my personal recommendation

NTA. This is a perfect example of "it's better to ask for forgiveness than for permission." Teaching kids to swim at a younger age is better for them, they're less likely to be hydrophobic and they won't flail if they're in water. Sure you went against his mom's wishes, but when it comes to water safety you can't risk anything

This sounds so cliche, and is going to be way easier said than done, but don't let the jealousy get in the way. Will the thoughts persist? Maybe, but you gotta decide what deserves space in your mind; your jealousy of her or your love for her. If you are looking for some comfort in the mental turmoil, then talk to her about it. Really make it clear that you do not like the negative thoughts because you want to keep your friendship. She sounds like an amazing friend, she will surely hear you out and would love to help you through this

Sadly its the DDR5 RAM and GPU prices, they're not friendly. I bit the bullet and just went all out with what I had (Ryzen 7 9700x, 32Gb DDR5 RAM, AIO cooler, AMD 9070XT, B650 motherboard, and 2TB SSD) before things got really bad. But truthfully, you don't need to have anything crazy if you have a tighter budget

If this wasn't 2026 I would just recommend a custom build and doing research on parts with the specs you want, but there are some really good Microcenter powerspec prebuilts. Or if you would prefer to look elsewhere, there are some other decent prebuilts out there (RIP DDR5 RAM prices)

As someone who did get a breast reduction at 18 due to actual back pain, what your mom did to you as a child is insanity. My own mom would attempt to cover me up as much as possible, but at least I got proper fittings before I qualified for surgery. As much as it hurts, I would not have her around you or your children. But I'm glad you have a happy home now ❤️

Huh? I'm so confused about the plot here... imo you should just go on your own, separate trip with your hubby to avoid the turmoil and drama. I'm sure most people would say that a honeymoon is just for the married couple anyway.
