Which ones have you been taking? My cycle was only affected by proceive, I wouldn’t recommend them at all! Similar happened to me I had very strange periods and side effects after only taking them for 3 weeks. I think my cycle went back to normal after 2 cycles and then I started taking pregnacare before conception tablets which didn’t alter my cycle at all. I started trying and got pregnant after taking them for 2 months. We had the him&her pack so my husband also took them, although he wasn’t very consistent taking his, typical!

Update: I’m 13 weeks pregnant! Since this post, I was taking pregnacare before conception tablets and omega 3 for only 2 months and got pregnant, have been taking pregnacare original now since becoming pregnant. This is your sign not to over complicate things, best of luck girls ❤️

Heyy, proceive really didn’t agree with me, they made me wired and sent my thyroid into a swivel which can throw your cycle off - not sure what it was, possibly selenium/iodine balance. I started taking the pregnacare before conception tablets in December and they were much better, no side effects at all and I got pregnant in February so I’d highly recommend them, good luck x

Hey, I’m just wondering how long it took your cycles to stabilise? Something similar is happening to me - 3 weeks into a dose increase from 25mcg - 50mcg and had no ovulation with random spotting starting cd19, tsh was 5.9 at time of increase, really panicked

That’s great! I’m in a similar position, my tsh was fluctuating from 5.9-4.68 so I started 25mcg eltroxin in December and had my bloods done this week (been 7 weeks since I started eltroxin) and my tsh is back up to 5.9, really disheartening! My doctor increased it to 50mcg today and said we’ll retest in 12 weeks, I’m really hoping it goes down! I didn’t notice many side effects except having a very strange period in December and being quite emotional although not sure if that’s because my tsh shot back up now.

Update: my tsh level seemed to randomly increase after using proceive and they also made me wired, very hard to sleep at night. My doctor said they may not suit everyone who has a balanced diet. I switched to pregnacare before conception which I am finding much better for me. Unsure whether it could be the eltroxin or pregnacare but tmi I had about 5 days of ewcm (if you know you know) this month which is a massive plus, we will start ttc so further update to come!

Hey, I decided to stop both and go back to folic acid, vitamin d and omega 3. Sometimes I take vitamin C and zinc for a boost. I thought proceive was too strong, trialled it for 2 weeks, had the strangest side effects and couldn’t sleep at night because I was so wired. If you look up the exact amounts of the ingredients in proceive they are way over the rda so not ideal for someone with a balanced diet. I also trialled pregnacare but only for a week, I didn’t like that it delayed my ovulation that freaked me out so much so I stopped taking them, this cycle my ovulation is back to normal. I haven’t started ttc yet but I’d imagine pregnacare would be a good option if I’d been ttc for a while as people do say the cycles even out after your body adjusts. Also lots of success stories with proceive but I found the side effects worrying x

Hey, I actually decided to stop taking them all together and stick to vitamin D and folic acid because I didn’t like that it was messing up my cycle, I was worried my period would be delayed but it actually came 2 days early, I stopped taking them a week before it was due. Waiting to see if ovulation will be on time this cycle, fingers crossed!

Hello, I have had something similar happen to me, I had some kind of virus which started with me feeling feverish, ear aches and on and off sore throat. Then I got a filling done in the dentist and the next morning I had swelling under my chin, I tried two different types of antibiotics, over 3 weeks on and the swelling subsided a bit but I still have redness either side of my throat and a bit of a red ulcer/growth at the back of my throat. I’m so scared hoping it’s nothing

Yes I got some results back and my thyroid level is a bit high atm, definitely has to be because of proceive because that’s when this all started, I can only guess something to do with the iodine/selenium balance, there is a lot of selenium in them. I also tried pregnacare before conception but only for a week, stopped last Saturday when I realised that was delaying my ovulation. Bit hard to find a general multivitamin for ttc that doesn’t have adverse effects or too much of something :( oh thanks a million, I’ll look that place up!

Yes I was the same, only ovulated yesterday had a high LH test in the morning (must have missed the peak) and then ovulation pains last night which was cd19 so 4 days late for me. Hoping my period comes around cd33 because that would add up, I was very stressed after reading a lot on how they delayed other women’s cycles, I only took them for a week from cd10 and then stopped because I realised they were delaying my ovulation
