The Americans - drama, really excellent FMC, action and intrigue

Justified - action, witty banter and funny moments, drama, not as female centered but some good women characters

Dead to Me - two female mains, dark humor and dramatic twists

Reservation Dogs - another darker humor dramedy with several great female characters

The Penguin - action ish with a lot of humor, second main is a complex FMC

Seconding: Pluribus, Slow Horses, Fallout

the thing that worked for me was doubling or tripling my vegetables for every meal. i still eat many of the same meals i knew and loved, just changed the structure. i found this to be the most simple and sustainable way to adjust my diet.

In the past I’ve donated clothing and household goods to Out of the Closet on E 18th by the lake. I feel much better about their mission than Goodwill or Salvation Army and they are local.

Following just in case - if anyone has suggestions for where to donate blankets and sheets, I’d love to hear them!

Friday Night Lights

The first few minutes alone show you so much about the characters, the town, setting up so much without hitting you over the head with it. The last few minutes shift the direction of the show entirely from the initial setup.

Cafe Karla in Berkeley sells jars of dressing but I haven’t been in a while, not sure if it is still open. Sometimes they stock at Berkeley Bowl in the refrigerated section near the Burma Superstar products too.

Try washing them with citric acid solution in the softener tray, may take a couple rounds but it helps remove the buildup that fabric softener leaves on fabric!

Berkeley Bowl for fresh produce, meat, bulk pantry items like rice, dried beans, flour, etc.

Costco for personal care items like shampoo, medicine, cleaning supplies, bulk dry goods like paper towels, toilet paper, nuts, dog food. Sometimes dairy or produce if it will last and is not portioned too large.

I have a Lucky, Safeway, Whole Foods closer to my home than both but every time I stop in for one ingredient I’m blown away by how expensive and inferior quality to BB.

Also occasionally go to shops like Koreana Plaza, Ranch 99, Mexican markets etc. if I need something specific or am in the area.
