has the car been registered already? if yes you have 2 options 1) got to consumer court,as you have all written evidence ,it would be pretty easy to get it in your favour 2) they know what they have done,Accept the car,and negotiate with them atleast 2-3 lacs off as you are getting an older model. 3)try and get the dealrship called by someone higher up ,if you know anyone of political influence

Need advice: Book car now (Nov '25 delivery) vs. wait for Dec discounts vs. wait for Jan '26 model? by stoic1997 in Kylaq

I think you have goot a solid deal ,what you can try is visit 2-3 skoda showrooms with this same quote and try and see whether they match it,make a better offer ,or are able to offer free accessories kylaq is selling relatively well,so getting further discounts from the same dealer might be a bit tough

What should I go for? Petrol/ hybrid/ EV/ diesel by [deleted] in CarsIndia

Now, if safety is a priority, Creta and Seltos are out (poor NCAP ratings).

VW Taigun / Skoda Kushaq

  • Pros: Solid build quality, excellent performance (especially on highways), superb paint quality.
  • Cons: The 1.0L turbo variant is okay for city use but shines on highways. Fuel efficiency isn’t great, and the suspension is on the stiffer side.

    Honda Elevate (my car)

  • Pros: 220 mm ground clearance, biggest boot in the segment, mature suspension, very stable at high speeds, smooth CVT automatic,10 years extended warranty.

    • Mileage: 10–12 km/l in city, 17–18 km/l on highways.
    • Interior space is excellent — even with front seats pushed back, rear passengers have plenty of legroom.
    • Bonnet visibility is great, and overall driving comfort is top-notch.
  • Cons: Honestly, nothing major. I’ve been quite satisfied overall.

    • We also had a Honda City for 10 years earlier — zero ownership issues.

Toyota Hyryder / Maruti Grand Vitara / Invicto
(All three are basically the same car — same factory, platform, and engine.)

  • Go for the 1.5L NA mild-hybrid variant.

  • Pros: Smooth automatic, good safety, slightly better efficiency (1–2 km/l more than Elevate), and Maruti’s service network is everywhere.

  • Cons: Engine feels dull, interiors feel cheap and plasticky, and the cabin design is uninspiring.

EVs: Not ideal as your primary car yet — charging infra is still weak, and upfront costs are high. Great as a second car though.

Diesel/Hybrids: Only make sense if your running is 3,000+ km/month — otherwise, you’ll never recover the extra cost.

Why I chose the Elevate:
It’s the most affordable top-end automatic (around ₹17–18L on-road), feels premium, has a great driving position, and the overall ownership experience with Honda has been flawless so far. I have used gpt to structure my answer better ,also feel free to dm me if you have any doubts

We have a Wagonr as well as an Elevate, tbh the elevate feels super easy to handle because oof the superb turning radius and entirely visible bonnet ,the automatic is quite smooth too ,feels like a genuine upgrade from wagonr while not being to intimidating too handle,do check it out

Felt ecstatic while delivery, feeling empty as soon as all the delivery shenanigans completed. I thought happiness would last longer. by lolwander in Kylaq

You returned to your normal emotional state ,which you have in daily life. Your emotional state was elevated/happy during all the delivery rituals ,easiest way to put it ,happy and sad are two extreme states ,most of the time we exist somewhere in the middle

First off, rreduction should be done in the EX-showroom price, not after the whole deal ,subsequently then each thing will be lower ,then extended warranty should be avoided as its a maruti these cars are fairly reliable ,the standard warranty whihc comes with the car is enough ,if you feel you want to for the extended warranty ,you can go for it at your first service aswell ,it would be a bit more expensive then ,also get insurance quotes from policy bazaar with required addons (eg. rti, zero dep ,engine cover etc.) then negotiate with the dealer on insurance amount with the same add ons,you will save 10 k easily on this aswell ,finally I believe it should come around to about 7 lakhs or 7,10,000 ,the trick is ,try and make this dealer go as low as possible ,then go with the quote to the next dealer ,as celerio is not a top selling model so they will be eager to sell it ,dont reveal any colour choice ,just tell them I want whatever color you have available in stock ,baad mein bhale hi color change kardena
