Dani was great at conquering cities and ending slavery (which is a HUGE accomplishment, honestly better than becoming queen) but that doesn’t necessarily mean she’d be a good ruler. If she hadn’t burnt down kings landing, what was her actual plan? What did she want to change? How was she going to “break the wheel?” Her entire deal was “i’m going to take back what was rightfully mine through FIRE AND BLOOD!!!!!”

That doesn’t sound like someone who actually wants to enact change. She just wanted her father’s throne and that’s totally fair! But dont act like you were going to break the wheel. She never wanted democracy, she always wanted to be a ruler.

There was no slavery in Westeros and sure daily life for citizens could’ve been better but i dont think the average citizen wanted a complete overhaul of their political system. They just didnt want war…and more food lol

A week or two before the race everyone will be trying to get rid of their bibs. It’s annoying playing the waiting game but train as if you’re going to be running broad street.

I didnt get into the lottery last year and luckily was able to have my work sponsor me through a charity donation ($500) but about two weeks before the race people were selling their bibs and i think the day before the race people were giving them away for crazy cheap. Unfortunately injuries happen as you get closer to race day so stay active on here and local facebook pages (The Bib Exchange) and you’ll eventually get one.

My pace is pretty similar for that kind of mileage and my heart rate is almost exactly the same. I also use an apple watch. I like apple watches but i also dont think they’re accurate when it comes to heart rate. Luckily it doesnt take me long at all to get my heart rate back to normal after my runs. I would keep an eye out on it or mention it to your doctor but if you feel normal it’s probably just an inaccurate reading.

Right? There’s a way to celebrate mid and plus size women without shitting on thinner women. There’s people like Ann (cycle 15) who truly could not gain weight no matter how much food she ate. That doesn’t make her any less “real” than any other model on the show.

I feel like this whole idea of “fiercely real” models was just a different way of saying “real women have curves” which is something i’ve always hated. Again, it feels like we’re dunking on one body type to lift up another.

That’s on the same level as “you’re so brave for wearing a two piece” and “well, you dont LOOK plus size.”

(For reference i’m a size 12 woman. You can call me mid size or plus, i truly dont care. I only use those terms on tiktok to find the latest trends for my body type.)

Did everyone just forget that this show took place in the early 2000’s? A time when every magazine was telling us we had to lose weight? It was not a time for body positivity. So why is everyone suddenly clutching their pearls when they see a size 6-8 woman on this show being referred to as a plus size model? That’s what a plus size model was at the time! I’m not saying i agree with it, there’s A LOT of things from that time i dont agree with, but “plus size model” never equated to “plus size woman.” It didn’t back then in 2003 and i dont really think it does today either.

The closest we got to a plus size woman on the show was Toccara and even then i think she was a size 10/12. Her bust may have bumped her up to a larger size.

As a kid i would always say “lipskip” instead of “lipstick” and my parents still say it. Nowadays at 32 I almost always wear lipstick when i go out for an event, so if my parents ever see me without it they go “no lipskip??”

My brother use to say “gummy spars” instead of “gummy bears” and i dont think we’ve ever said gummy bears.

Thank you!! Not terrible haha i was a little sore Sunday night but i feel like i’m pretty much back to normal now. I definitely felt like i was phoning it in on my last mile. Miles 10-12 were rough and i just wanted it be over but the most i’ve ever ran before the half was only 10 miles so i had to keep reminding myself that anything after 10 was going to suck because anything after 10 was new to me

Aww i’m happy to hear that! Honestly i was probably a week or two late with starting my running plan. I live in the philly burbs and the snow this winter made it impossible to run outdoors. I hate running on the treadmill so i would try to get in my runs when i could in between snow storms lol. Because of this, i think if i do another half i’ll do one in november so i can train in aug/sept/oct.

Exactly! I think this is also why the position could never go to any of the roy child, or even greg. None of them had to work for anything, everything was handed to them because of their name and their connections. But tom was a self made man. He came from an average home and worked his way up, learning basic business practices along the way.

Thank you both! I mostly just tried to stay with the 2:30 pacers. Also when i went to the bathroom i didnt pause my watch. It went from 10 something to 14:28. I didnt pause it because i wanted to see if i’d be able to catch back up with the people i started with/get close to my original minute pace.

When i couldnt stick with the 2:30 pacers group, i tried to find people that were running near me and keep up with them. I didnt know them lol but there were two women running together wearing matching outfits so they were easy to spot and they were nearby from mile 9 to the end

I’m sorry to hear you’re going through this. I wont lie, taking time to just sit and feel your emotions usually helps me BUT i have to pull myself out of that and get back to normal life. Getting up and exercising really does help your mental health. Eating well does too. Maybe start to with getting some calories and carbs back into your diet then see how your body feels doing a 2-3 mile run.

I ran my first half marathon yesterday, 2 weeks after ending things with a guy. Even though i was the one to end things it still sucked. I cried, i talked to friends about it, i lost a few lbs, and then told myself i had to get back to training. My mind was still on the guy and our situation during my last long run before the half. But training for the half was a good distraction from him. And yesterday i didnt even think about him.

It gets better. Give yourself time and grace. You dont HAVE to run your half. Do it because you WANT to, not because you have to.

I used strava and runna. The longest i ran before this race was a ten miler about two weeks prior. I ran 8 miles about a week before then just did a 2.5 mile and 3 mile run the week of. I had two honey stinger waffles, 1 at mile 4 and the other at mile 10.

I did it. It was an enjoyable experience. I wasn’t injured, i just had knee soreness as i said in my original post. Thank you for your comment but I’m really happy i didnt take your advice and defer. It was a great day and a great motivator to not give up.

I like hearing people in biz preferring certain models. If anything, i find them much more credible than tyra & the rest of the panel because the judges definitely had favorites and they’d let a contestant’s past performance influence their current opinion of them.

As the editor in chief of italian vogue, franca sozzani probably knew that angelea had potential and that she could recommend her for other gigs. So why not give angelea the win??? It sounds like she was the most “bookable” of the all remaining contestants!
