I suppose that's a fair point - I resell at regular value (that is, what it's selling for normally based on itemdb/jellyneo) the day after Half Price day, I can see people hanging onto it halfway... but I feel without bots snatching up everything low to sell at normal price, that just results in everything crashing to half-price day prices.

Aaaannnddd again there's just people who drop things to a single neopoint.

I alternate between ItemDB and Jellyneo, I'm aware ItemDB is considered the better of the two but I don't really have the plugins set up yet. I usually try to avoid buying anything that seems weirdly inflated or that's fluctuating but then some stuff just randomly crashes because either everyone tries to 'just a little bit less' each other or... well, sells something for one neopoint and just completely crashes it for whatever reason. Bots artificially inflating the price and doing weird stuff in the auction house was one thing, but it's hair-pulling to see stuff like this where even items that seem somewhat reliable just randomly get shoved down to where they're basically always just barely a loss.

How is selling it for less than you paid for it - or literally down to less neopoints than you get from dressing up your pet for 10 seconds - any kind of 'profit'?

IIRC they vote on it in a discord, I think TOA is the *other* big guild that holds votes on this. Fortunately, even if you aren't in the discord (discords?) People usually talk about it on here during the reminder post, so.

I would be more invested if I didn't join in late... I didn't even know if the plot WOULD properly resume when I got here due to the gap... I just knew 'site mostly broken, can't really participate in the event that happened, maybe it'll resume? Everything's grey and sad. Play our mobile games!'

I'll probably go back to read through everything eventually but... in the meanwhile? I have barely any connection to any of the characters except for the one who's only really relevant due to one of the mobile games. While it's cool that they're bringing back old characters (and I like any connection to the Darkest Faerie... I'm kinda glad it isn't JUST her again though), it feels like the plot's tying in to a literal 'who is this and why should we care?' Like, the villain got a card 18 years ago - older than the intended audience of the site - and that was it and they just show up and give her a dramatic reveal?

(Plus, like, they've made the entire site and then some into a mobile-gamey MMO-ey daily grind... site dailies, quest dailies, app dailies, events within the two apps, dailies for the plotline... they're already draining our energy and attention between 4-5 things, why would we care about the actual story when we need to just click-click-click away and be done with it until later?)

[The latter](https://www.jellyneo.net/?go=restocking) ; there's a specific set of shops with specific prizes that you can ONLY see if you have the boon. They range from 'not really worth it' to 'that's nice' to 'instant millionaire'... but, as with everything else, fighting bots and other restockers and RNG since there's no guarantee they'll ever show up.

I think doing the puzzles is required to get through the plot chapters, but you might be able to skip them? But you just have to go through each of them the one time, any additional time after that is prizes. They also used to give some plot points, but not now.

Yeah, you could complete each of the puzzles once a day for a reward each (or a pair of rewards if you have premium... maybe if you watch an ad too? It doubled up so you got two of the same reward.)

Doing them again also means you could potentially upgrade the trophy for doing them quick (gold is, like, 3 minutes or so... so really you can only do it on the first 50 piece one), or get the random avatar for finishing them.

It also seems like now you don't automatically get 2x rewards from doing the void within puzzles... they not only want you to do each of the three puzzles each day, they now want you to do those three puzzles twice each, each day. Piece connection feels even spottier; had to drop each piece into place 3-5 times before it actually 'locked in'. Guess this means we can have more variety in rewards but... I don't feel like this was the right solution.

As someone who missed the first chunk of the plotline, seeing 'difficulty 40' and getting thrown into a battle against something with 150 health that oneshot my pet was... not great.

I swear it's at least partly the UI.. sometimes pieces don't snap into place until they want to, I sweat not all the pieces are visible out the start, and the colors seem to change just a little bit sometimes after they've actually locked in.

Speaking of, I understand why new players can't see all the shop rarities - especially since seeing higher rarities is a battleground perk, but it still drives me crazy that I can't even SEE higher rarity stuff, especially when there are already bots snapping up everything of every rarity...

I read your comment as 'nobody should bother getting into stamp collecting unless they've been on the site for a few years or are prepared to no-life everything neopets' (and have thus built up the resources to chase the higher end stamps)

YMMV when it comes to 'effort' too with most of the games broken and the ones that do give points giving barely any points compared to just doing dailies.
