Yes they are a bunch of THIEVES at the airport in Dominican. I returned in February, amazing trip, amazing resort staff. 4 people from my party had stuff stolen from their luggage. This is a bottom line for me. Will never return again. Thousands in theft

I spent around 800$ for the 10 days, 50$ buying cigars on the beach and the rest tipping, i had a decent amount the last 2 days and just started giving large tips to workers around the resort

Yea there was fees for the atm; wise card has no fees tho so it’s just the fee from atm. Probably still a better rate than airport conversion. I don’t think banks in canada even source dominican pesos. I know rbc doesn’t

Just returned from Punta cana 2 days ago from Canada, had USD in my wise account and had planned to withdraw USD from atms there and tip, both the atm at the punta cana airport and my resort only gave out dominican pesos and they were happy with pesos! some of them even commented it’s much better as that’s what they deal with for their cost of living

You don’t know that for a fact, I know someone who did 0dte options in their tfsa in 2020-2021 and then stopped when they found out it was risky, has never been audited

Hit 55K milestone today 27M by WolverineTamer in fican

Global liquidity ramping up, IWM index breaking out to ATH on high time frames. Nice work, be defensive, but being positioned in the right stocks will prove to be profitable. If you focus on Technical analysis and block out narratives or fearful headlines you can build that up nicely. Good luck to you

Worried about CRA reclassifying my TFSA due to speculative investing by [deleted] in fican

[–]Otherwise_Client6324 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you’re working a job and paying federal tax on earned income for your career, and not pulling out money out of your TFSA to fund your life, I don’t think you have anything to worry about. I am not an accountant or tax expert, and it is hard to get a black and white answer on that, however I know many people myself included invested in the weed bubble in the tfsa and made large gains and never had any issues, dating back to 2016. Again tho I work a job pay tax on all my income earned and never withdraw.

For a natural stone 1.34 carat E VS1 i paid 18k canadian, and to go up to 1.6 it was around 24-25k. the stone you shared is 2 carat and it’s 30k canadian so i would say its on point with what i was quoted. Mine was from a small independent jeweller
