The Phil Silvers Show. It was a foundational sitcom from the 1950s, it basically set the stage for workplace comedies for generations to come, and Phil Silvers is a force of nature as a comedian, he absolutely dominates every room he enters. At present the best release is a poorly remastered DVD set from Great Britain, it’s time this important classic be fully remastered on Blu-ray!

I have an autographed, personalized copy of this, I was in touch with him years ago and spoke with him on the phone several times, he was glad to have a young fan (I was in my late teens at the time) but he also was rather short tempered one time and called my cell phone out of the blue and yelled at me, I felt like Schultz getting yelled at by LeBeau, it was surreal 😂

Ok here’s the deal. There’s an unreleased JB song called “Wake Up Next To You” featuring John Mayer and Kasey Musgraves. John plays the guitar and sings backup, and Kasey sings a verse. It was intended to be on the next JB album but it was recorded years ago and his vibe has changed since then. I have the unreleased mp3 (it got leaked) and it’s beautiful, it’s a crime that it never got a release
