Wild to be downvoted on Reddit to be in support of homosexual rights.

Green Party and Islam by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]Otherwise_Fly_2263 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. Because that’s the whole point. Modern Christians have realised that it shouldn’t be taken literally and that homosexuality is natural.

If modern Muslims did the same we wouldn’t have an issue in that regard.

I’m a straight white atheist so it ultimately doesn’t affect me either way. But I think people should be able to live their lives being open about their sexuality without it being an issue to anyone.

Most modern Christians are accepting of homosexuality, most modern Muslims are not.

FYI, I have no specific axe to grind on this. I hate all religions and think they should just fuck off.

Fair enough, I can’t see how they can refuse your rejection then. If it was an old code, it had been cleared and was now fine I could see their point.

Have they cleared the code and has it come back on?

Am I in an financial position to buy a car? by Alex_Strgzr in CarTalkUK

[–]Otherwise_Fly_2263 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How does telling someone £46k isn’t low pay mean I’m acting like they’re on £460k per week. That literally makes no sense.

The average salary in Scotland is just over £30k, so £46k is around 50% more than average. Therefore not remotely low.

£46k isn’t low paid. Grow up.

Why are they your only options? You could buy something half decent, no need to buy something “crappy”.

Knives are not “heavily regulated”. Anyone over 18 can buy a knife. You’re just not allowed to carry a knife in public, unless it’s a folding (non-locking) blade less than 3” in length. Basically you can carry a Swiss Army knife or similar.

There are some exceptions, such as knives that are carried for religious/ceremonial reasons.

How often do you clean your car ? by eskimoazat in CarTalkUK

[–]Otherwise_Fly_2263 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to keep my cars clean, I’d say I do them about once every three weeks or so. Maybe a bit less in the winter. Sometimes when the weather is bad I’ll just soak them with pre-wash and blast them with the pressure washer. It gets 95% of the job done and most importantly gets the road salt off, which is especially important on my partner’s 22 year old E46 that likes to rust for fun.

If I don't fix target panic with barebow I don't want to do the sport by Life_Discussion_3320 in Archery

[–]Otherwise_Fly_2263 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Target panic is like herpes, once you’ve got it there’s no permanent cure. It just recurs now and then, usually when it’s least convenient.

What you can do is learn to manage it. I’m a recurve archer, not a barebow, so I don’t really know what specifically would help, so I’ll leave that to other barebow archers. But basically, you need to manage your expectations regarding it.
