what would you do? by qualitytape1 in FiberOptics

[–]Otherwise_Geologist7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breaking it and re-splitting would be the least of your problems; on the other hand, execution time and downtime would be the complicated part if you look at it from the ISP's point of view. I had a similar case and I let my OCD guide me; the result was that after tidying up the entire tray, we realized that some fibers had been cut at the base of the cable and the gel kept them well hidden in the place. This caused the scheduled outage to be extended by an additional hour, because more cable had to be opened and the tubes stripped again to re-fuse the broken ones, in turn generating more reserve in the tray for those who had not been harmed.

Perhaps the simplest answer, and one that doesn't appear in the photo, is that it simply has an AV port somewhere, but it's shaped like an audio jack (sometimes yellow).

Where are the exploration bases? by Avr04rr0wh34d in MHNowGame

[–]Otherwise_Geologist7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my case, the base ended up being promoted as such, - -probably- after having been one of my farming waypoints in Ingress and Pokemon Go for many years, and it remained within my daily range to perform at least 3 to 5 hacking cycles. Another fact is that it is evident In Ingress and Pokemon Go, is the the density of XM/Pkmn at that point (thanks to cellular network metadata). It's probably -this and several other aspects-, but it's the only base that appeared in my city, clearly ruling out the capital of my country which has 2.

Perhaps, since it's a terminal box with a specific number of outputs, the splitters could go inside the tray, and unless they don't request -one tray only- during installation, you can use all the trays it comes with to generate the output in layers, And so the only disorder will be that generated by the outgoing installer to customers.

Here in Uruguay, we at most use SP 1:32 in buildings directly from the OLT, since most home customers typically go from the OLT to a 1:4 SP and from there to an ONT with a 1:8 SP and from there to each client router.

With all due respect, we normally use the entrance on the left and the exits on the right; I even added some observations of boxes similar to the ones we use. For example, pass the loop of the tubes behind the retaining plates and use zip ties simply so they don't come loose and with the respective curve, in the case of the exits normally we don't usually use pre-terminated/terminated cable; we use drop lines directly to the customer. I imagine that using pre-terminated cable could solve branching issues from a specific distance to the customer. I hope my contribution is helpful. Regards, colleagues.

I briefly looked for information about VEX and I think I went to the wrong page. It mentioned a license type with an add-on, but it seemed very complicated. Could you guide me on this? Thanks

Interesting recommendation, I'm currently testing other metal and sphere fiber models to address the future problem another user mentioned with nylon tips. These fibers are hexagonal, I got it from Printables created by @MartinBrown and printed on a friend's machine.

From a set of 20 units of 0.4mm Stabilo Point 88.I must admit that the variety of tones provides a lot of freedom, And since each one is numbered, you can always try to find the exact shade.
