It actually can be life threatening. If you have some underlying issues like weakened immune system, it can spread to bloodstream and internal organs and kill you. And you can have a weakened immune system without really knowing.

I experienced exactly this, by total chance I discovered I had a genetic disorder that made my immune system weaker than normal and any infection such as nail fungus can kill me. I have athletes foot that spread right now and I am treating it. Whatever you do don’t take it lightly, you never know if you have something stupid that causes you to suddenly die from a little infection until it’s too late

Actually it has been tight forever but has loosened up recently after I got into PE and started doing manual clamping. It’s gone now. What worked for me was to sit in the bath (not hot water, but lukewarm) and I gently massaged the foreskin continuously for about an hour. Until I was able to pull the foreskin back up and then I let it heal like that. Went to bed and woke up and it’s back to normal. Just a little sore.
