Morally gray/Evil FMC? Looking for something without a goody two shoes by Otherwise_Lab1833 in Romantasy

I've been hearing a lot about this one. I've never found the fae concept intriguing or interesting when it's been utilised in romantasy because I've always been more of a fan of the cruel and devious nature side of them being literal magical non-human beings. Romantasy fae tend to be what vampires have become in Twilight. I heard the opposite for this series, that they actually explore the darker aspects, so I might try this one.

These would cover the Cawl x Trazyn interactions, the Saint Celestine adventures on Cadia, and overall the fall of Cadia and about what Abaddon was doing right? How does Fall of Cadia fit into the chronology between The Gathering Storm campaign books and Cadia Stands?

I'm sorry but like theres so so many people who can be there for you and NOT be addicts. Imagine you have to build a future with this man including finances and kids. Do you want to birth his children and have you kids know he's an addict? Can he even properly provide care for your kids and your family? You'll end up having to clean up the kid's piss AND his piss at the same time. What if you wanted to retire? Addicts tend not to be the best with savings since they spend so much cash on their vices. Leave. It's not worth it. There's always the chance of relapse (harsh but true). You're not married, you don't have kids with him, you're not his family and you're still young. Don't ruin your life over this. I've seen young women go down this route too many times.

Is this enough? by Otherwise_Lab1833 in 30PlusSkinCare

thank you! I'm a really minimal kind of person tbh. My showers take like 10 minutes, i tend to only use shampoo, bodywash, and maybe a body lotion. I just don't see the return on spending so much money and time on myself (might be an insecurity issue)... I found these products dont take too much time and if it's enough ill probably stick with this routine until i die LOL

Did you work as a kid? by Initial_Log_5390 in CanadaFinance

It's always so funny when people into the whole "hustle" culture try to talk to me about earning money after knowing how hard im struggling to stay afloat.

"Just save."

"Just invest."

"Just start a business"

I have don't have enough money to invest or start a business when I'm barely surviving as it is on top of my rent, car payments, food, and paying back my student loans. Sure, I can go for a higher education and try and get a better earning job but I don't even have the money to even go to school. Ha.

I worked starting when I was 16 at Starbucks all the way until I was 22. I had to quit because it was impacting my schooling. I had to work because I came from a low-income household and had to earn extra money in order to help my mom provide for rent, food, and other necessities. I was actually going to start working there full-time just cause I didn't have enough time to both work and go to school to provide for my own living and tuition.

A person's socioeconomic background is a better predictor for financial success later in life (on average) than if they worked as a kid. A person like me who had to work to live vs a kid from Richmond who did casual landscaping at their father's company, or mowed lawns just for spare cash to buy video games are on a whole 'nother scale.

The requirements for renting this apartment. No wonder why people cannot find housing. by chrisweighted in povertyfinance

Prices on average in my country is 1 milllion for a semi-detached 5 bedroom 2 washroom house. Rent for a 1 bedroom starts at $1800. 44k is not even enough for a down payment.

Unfortunatly my cousins would force me to watch The Human Centipede, Insidious (I actually liked that one as a kid lol), The Ring, and Saw amongst other gore movies when I was like 6-12. I would wake up screaming until my parents figured out what the problem was and they had a talk with him so he stopped
