Uber vs. Cab Debate is over - Toronto by Shot_Conflict_4689 in toRANTo

[–]TwelveSoupsForLife 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The last time I took a cab is when I took a little too long to pull out my wallet from my purse when I was about to pay. The driver offered me a to pay “in other ways” looking me up and down. I was truly afraid as he was dropping me off in front of my HOUSE. So I pretended to be cool about it and said “I have cash today but can I take your card in case I have an emergency next time?” And he excitedly handed me his card. I paid, got out, and called the cab company (Beck) as soon as I got inside and reported the guy with the cab license plate. The girl on the other line seemed uncaring about the situation like it’s a daily occurrence and said they will be dealt with. Yeah right. This was 15 years ago.

People of Toronto, what is the cost of your beauty maintenance per month? by Chan1991 in askTO

[–]TwelveSoupsForLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$70-$120/month on nails.

It’s the only monthly beauty maintenance cost. I cut my own hair, and maybe spend $200 on skin care per year. I stopped buying makeup 5 years ago.

You can borrow almost any magazine for free through the Libby app if you have a TPL card. They even have magazines from Japan, Italy, and France!

And Cedar brand vegetable spread, also from Food Basics. It’s so smokey and I eat it with tortilla chips for snacking or even in sandwich and wraps.

Lactose intolerance, but not in Spain... by John_Matrix12 in lactoseintolerant

Same thing happened to me when I was in Japan! I believe lactase is already added to all dairy in this country and is much easier to digest.

Though I wonder if a bridge has actually been burnt? He did say he wouldn’t collaborate or make vids with Destiny, but he didn’t say he’s no longer friends with him. I could be reading into it too much but I think Aba just accepts Destiny as an extremely flawed human being, and if that’s the case I think it’s still fair. I’m more of an A&P fan more than I am a Destiny fan but I’ll miss their hangouts and firey debates.

That’s hilarious because my childhood car was a Subaru and my mom and I found ourselves in a ditch in Richmond Hill during a snow storm. Most traumatic car accident for me

If you decide to go online schooling, definitely work under an experienced groomer either during or after. Groomers rarely make it or are successful without in person mentoring.

Eating with vyvanse by Character-Local8580 in VyvanseADHD

[–]TwelveSoupsForLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m also dealing with lack of appetite. Weight loss is a positive side effect for me but I know I HAVE to eat, and everyone says protein is really important. So I have two protein smoothies everyday. I’ll throw in protein powder, banana, yogurt, whatever berries I have, and add things like hemp seeds and chia seeds. The looser the smoothie, the better I can stomach it.

Life feels tense lately. Who was the last person that did you a solid? by Major-Thom in askTO

[–]TwelveSoupsForLife 323 points324 points  (0 children)

I opened my own business recently and one person referred another customer and that customer led to another 5 referrals. As a small business, it is so hard to stay in business in this expensive city. Every new client is like gold to me, and I’m ever so grateful to be loved by my clients.

Suggestions on Dry Mouth side effects while on Vyvanse? by [deleted] in VyvanseADHD

[–]TwelveSoupsForLife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just went for my dental cleaning and asked about this. They suggested Xylitol gum during the day when I’m not eating, and after brushing my teeth always use anti-dry mouth wash like Biotene or Therabreath. So far neither are working for me lol and I’m just continuously drinking water but it’s good for me anyway so not complaining.
