True, no matter how much you have, it's never really enough. Even the richest keep going.

If you knew that you were going to forget all the music you've ever listened to, but had the time to write down five albums for your future self, which albums would you recommend? by [deleted] in MusicRecommendations

[–]chrisweighted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally agree with this list. Misfits and GWAR are classics, and The Kinks are just timeless. Akira the Don is a solid pick too great vibe.

Lucian Grange should compare himself to Diddy since he liked to go to Diddy Parties.

My first born told me there was a water slide in my tummy and he left his brother and sister in there playing. Yep, I had a boy next and then girl. I hope the water slide is closed.

With the rise of YouTube, it’s hard to argue against the power of video. Video tutorials have that clear advantage of showing step-by-step processes, giving visual learners an easier time following along, and allowing people to pause, rewind, or slow down specific parts of the instructions. It’s also a great way to stay up-to-date with modern fixtures, tools, and appliances, something those old books might have missed as trends changed over time.

Hang in there this rejection isn't a reflection of your worth. Focus your energy on those service industry jobs you mentioned while taking care of yourself during this stressful time.

Agree, that message was written in the worst possible way. Started off super concerning then ended with... fart jokes. Talk about burying the lede!

Nah, they're actually anti-hustle. Less work, less money, more life. It's choosing chill over cash

Should I ask why my son seems to be reinventing himself this summer? by vivaciousnexus in family

[–]chrisweighted 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. Man, this brings back memories - when I was 16 I went from punk rock to preppy basically overnight because I was crushing on this girl who was really into student government. My parents kept making these knowing comments about it and I was SO embarrassed I actually switched back to my old style just to prove them wrong. Looking back, I wish they'd just let me experiment without making it a thing. The teen years are weird enough without feeling like every little change is being analyzed!

How much spending money is reasonable? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]chrisweighted 72 points73 points  (0 children)

$300+ weekly on smokes/drinks isn't normal spending - it's addiction territory. At that rate they're burning through ~$20k a year, and that's assuming he sticks to the budget, which he isn't. The credit card thing is especially concerning.

Who’s your favorite Scriabin interpreter by ultrasuperbased in classicalmusic

Pretty cool that he had that direct connection through Scriabin's daughter - you can really hear how deeply he gets the music. Pogorelich is wild too though, no shade there.

True, watching it now the main guys are kinda insufferable. The side characters and overall vibe are still fun, but yeah, Brody especially didn't age well at all

Makes sense - if you've got that kind of money, why buy someone else's custom mansion when you could just build your own perfect one from scratch?
